Will everyone just calm down? I am sure they will make a transcript out of this program and put it on their website.

There will be english slides.. Stefania - be patient: - Probably a press release will come out with an english variety of program. But anyhow - it was very good.. now they are taking callers - but the outline looks like it can be a success if IRanians work hard on it..

Salam means "surrender" in Arabic. Muslims claim it means peace. But the word for peace in Arabic is Solh.

Dorood means "praise" in Persian.

yes the whole "Salam aleikom" business is very old. Basically, it is the same situation as the French invasion of England by William the Conquerer. After both Invasion (French on Enlgand & Arabs on Iran) the former tried to introduce their language into the latter. The French added 10,000 words to the English vocabulary. This is why it is more french-sounding today than the original that sounded more like german. As much as the Arabs tried (and the mullahs are still trying) they could NEVER replace Farsi with Arabic. However, they managed to add a few words to it. "Salam Akeikom" is one of them. Today, in Iran and the Arabic countries, it means "Hello".

Did anyone take note of where we can send donations to? Sometime during the program, they flashed an address and an account number, but I didn't have enough time to write them down.

Many thanks in advance.
