This post inspired by http://jtf.org/forum_english/index.php?topic=129.0

For the last 1300 years, Muslims have been spreading lies and propaganda designed to white wash their bloody and barbaric hands so that they seem civilized (even advanced). But the truth is these so called discoveries are really just clever thefts. Here are some examples.

The Myth:
There were many great achievements by muslim scientists. Much of what we know today is based on discoveries by muslims. Even the concept of the number "zero" was discovered by muslims.

The Truth:
The contribution of muslims to human civilization is indeed "zero", but not the number, which was copied by the muslims from India.
Muslims contributed absolutely nothing to science. Their alleged contributions are either copies or translations from older sources, stolen from subjugated civilizations or simply fabricated myths.

The Myth:
Muslim architects designed buildings that defied gravity.

The Fact:
If this refers to domes and arches, the fundamental architectural breakthrough of using a parabolic shape instead of a spherical shape for these structures was made by the Assyrians more than 1300 years earlier, as evidenced by their archaeological record. Later the Romans borrowed these concepts.

The Myth:
Muslim mathematicians created algebra and the algorithms that would enable the building of computers, and the creation of encryption.

The Fact:
The fundamental basis of modern mathematics had been laid down not hundreds, but thousands of years before by Assyrians and Babylonians, who already knew of the concept of zero, of the Pythagorean Theorem, and of many, many other developments expropriated by Arabs/Muslims (see History of Babylonian Mathematics, Neugebauer).

The Myth:
Muslim astronomers looked into the heavens, named the stars, and paved the way for space travel and exploration.

The Fact:
These astronomers were not Arabs but Chaldeans and Babylonians (of present day south-Iraq), who for millennia were known as astronomers and astrologers, and who were forcibly Arabized and Islamized -- so rapidly that by 750 A.D. they had disappeared completely.

The Myth:
Islam is the religion of peace and the final form of Judaism and Christianity; the highest spiritual echelon brought to us by the peaceful prophet mohammed.

The Fact:
Islam is more barbarous than both Judiasm and Christianity. There is nothing peaceful about islam and mostly the uneducated follow its path. It was created by a cruel and barbaric nomad to glorify his uncivilized lifestyle and to serve his own selfish purposes. He got the idea from his very rudamentary understanding of the Torah and second hand rumors and legends about the life of Jesus.

If you know of any others please post them below.

Like the desert it comes from, Islam is barren and without accomplishment. It must steal from others or it will die. Everywhere it goes it takes, but never gives. Things like human rights, freedom of religion, women's rights, freedom of speech and freedom of the press are taken away and nothing is given in return. Ancient history like the benevolent Cyrus the Great are erased from memory and warlords are praised instead. Islam is a threat to civilization itself. And education is our best weapon against its lies.

Most of what you say is true (the astronomy things a little more complicated ... although it was invented by the ancients i'd probably give the turkish a lot of credit as well). However, consider this:

Zero + Maths
True, 0 was invented by Hindus in a few thousand BC (along with the first ever philosophy of relativity and the indian pythagoras thingy). However, had the Muslims not come, it may well have never come to the west. Having the idea spread through the warring Persians and Greeks (and later Romans) was not feasable, and didn't happen anyway. The large Islamic empire that stretched from Morocco to Bangladesh helped transport and propogate this idea (along with others) to the western world, who may well have picked it up during the Crusades.

As we all realise, without 0, modern life would be impossible.

Medecine (You seem to have forgotten this one)
The principles of Islamic medecine started off in Greece. The Muslims recovered ancient Greek texts and translated them into Arabic.)

Let us consider what would have happened had they not done this. The Byzantines were too busy declaring everything ancient Greek as "infidel" (the Byzantines wiped out the Greek polytheists in around 300 AD in the name off Christianity). They even had their own form of the Greek language, different to the ancient one (more similar to modern). They wouldn't have made use of the ancient texts, as it would be too infidel for them, and medecine simply wouldnt have developed in the west (Chinese medecine, however, may still have come about).

The style you are referring to is Ottoman, and it was mostly designed by the Turkish, with a kick-start from the Byzantines (Ayasofya). The Assyrian style is completely different to the "gravity defying" Turkish-Byzantine style.

You seem to have a hard time accepting that several things written in holy books are metaphors.
