Reza Pahlavi : ... Let me be very precise on one point. I don’t think that any foreign government, The United States or any other should be advocating regime change. The decision to change governments ought to be at the hand of the people of the country. However, I think the U.S. does understood that the Iranian people have for a long time demonstrated their hatred of this regime and their demands for a system that would bring them a secular democracy that could give them an opportunity for progress and modernity and I think obviously a theocracy, being a case in Iran, is not what the Iranian people want.
