Mark Dankof's 1976 diary kept in Iran constitutes the first half of his on-line book manuscript entitled "A Summer of a Thousand Nights: From Tehran to Susa."

The second half of the 14 chapter manuscript deals with observations of recent years about War for Empire and deception. Things in the political realm are never what they seem, which coincides with Franklin Delano Roosevelt's dictum that "Nothing in politics happens by accident."

The clock is ticking to midnight.
