50 Iranian Rights Activists Urge U.N. Rights Chief to Issue Call for Special Session and Inquiry

Geneva, Sept. 16, 2009 — Iran's most famous torture victim appeared before the U.N. Human Rights Council in Geneva today to present an appeal, signed by 50 leading Iranian activists, urging U.N. Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights Navi Pillay to issue a call for a U.N. Human Rights Council special session and a commission of inquiry into allegations of Iran's mass arrest, rape, torture and killing of post-election demonstrators.

Ahmed Batebi was imprisoned in 1999 for appearing at a Tehran student demonstration, and tortured for 9 years. The Economist magazine published the iconic photo of Batebi, holding the bloodied t-shirt of his injured friend, on its front cover, making him one of the world's most famous political prisoners, and provoking retaliatory abuse from the Iranian prison authorities.

Batebi appeared before the Council today together with Nazanin Afshin-Jam, a former Miss Canada who is founding president of Stop Child Executions, a group advocating for children on death row in Iran.

Today's joint appeal follows below.

Appeal of Iranian Human Rights Defenders
for U.N. Human Rights Council Special Session and
Independent Investigation on Human Rights Violations in Iran

16 September 2009

Dear Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon,
Dear High Commissioner for Human Rights Navanethem Pillay,

Shocked and anguished by the tyranny, oppression, and gross human rights violations perpetrated by the Islamic Republic of Iran since the fraudulent June elections;

Recalling that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights guarantees the right to life, liberty and security of person, freedom of opinion and expression, freedom of peaceful assembly, and the democratic right to participate in genuine elections;

Recalling further that the Universal Declaration of Human Rights prohibits torture and cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment, arbitrary arrest and detention,

Reiterating the July 2, 2009 call by Iranian and international human rights activists for the U.N. Secretary General to name a Personal Envoy for Iran to investigate the post-election violence in Iran, to complete his report on the human rights situation in Iran, due at the 64th session of the General Assembly;

We hereby call upon you to lead the United Nations and the international community in convening an urgent and immediate Special Session of the U.N. Human Rights Council on the grave violations of international human rights law in Iran since the fraudulent June elections, and, in that context, for the Council to establish an independent, international and impartial commission of inquiry to investigate:

• The complicity of Iran’s senior leadership, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Kahmenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, in perpetuating massive election fraud, followed by the brutal arrests, beating and killing of peaceful demonstrators by the Basij and other government forces, including the deadly June 20, 2009 shooting of 27-year-old Neda Agha-Soltan;
• Torture and abuse of defendants following their arrest, with credible reports of rape of women and male detainees by security officials, including the rape and killing of Taraneh Mousavi and the rape of Ebrahim Sharifi;
• Specific allegations of gross abuse raised by Mehdi Karroubi and others concerning the Kahrizak detention center, which have been partially acknowledged by Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei;
• The show trials of more than 100 Iranians designed to delegitimize the mass and peaceful protests following the June elections;
• Secret burials of dead protesters in Tehran’s Behesht Zahra cemetery and other locations;

Mindful of the precedent shown by former Secretary-General Kofi Annan in 2006, when he successfully led the international community in calling for a special session of the Human Rights Council on Darfur, we now look to your moral leadership to give hope to the millions seeking human rights, freedom and justice in Iran.

Sincerely,

To: 44 Nobel Laureates, UN and FREE World Leaders

We, the undersigned, would like to thank the 44 Nobel Laureates for showing courage when the leaders of the free world stood ear-splitting silent. Your August 3rd Open Letter titled “Do not feel abandoned. Do not lose hope” was an inspiration to millions of Iranians during a critical time when the U.N. and most of G8 leaders turned a deaf ear with no real actions. Your unilateral action will not be forgotten.

“IRAN OPEN LETTER: AN OPEN LETTER

to All the dissidents --
the brave men and women of Iran:
Do not feel abandoned.
Do not lose hope.

The world knows that its physical and spiritual survival is linked to yours.

We, the undersigned Nobel Laureates, strongly condemn the flagrant human rights violations in the wake of the recent presidential election in Iran.

We deplore the violent and oppressive tactics the current regime is using to dissuade protestors from expressing their right to free speech. Your election was shamelessly tampered with and your human rights disregarded. We are outraged by your government’s denial of basic liberties to its people, such as detaining large groups of professors, students and innocent civilians, and denying proper funeral services to victims of its violence. These events, and the decision to ban all international media from covering these events, are blatant violations of the democratic principles your government claims to uphold.

We are well aware that throughout the long and glorious history of the Iranian civilization, your ancestors have often stood firmly against both interference from without and repression from within. Today, once again, you are fighting for a just cause.

We urge President Obama and the world’s political leadership to support, with all means at their disposal, the people of Iran, who deserve to have their votes counted, their voices heard, and their dignity respected.

Petition 73: Open letter to Mr. Ban Ki-Moon, the Secretary General of the United Nations And To the leaders of the Free World By Sayeh Sirjani And Dariosh Afshar

To: To the people of the world!

Mr. Ban Ki-Moon,
Noble Ladies and Gentlemen; heads of the democratically elected governments of the world,

Over the past few days, following the fraudulent Iranian presidential “elections”, the entire world has been witnessing the uprising of the freedom loving people of Iran against deception, injustice and tyranny of the rulers of the Islamic Republic.
The Iranian people have been demonstrating their outrage against their repressive rulers by the millions and in epic levels throughout Iran. After 30 years of oppressive and despotic rule by the clerics, the great and heroic people of Iran are now determined not to allow their intelligence to be insulted any longer and have decided that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH and are unequivocally calling for an end to the tyrant rule of the clerics in Iran. The Islamic rulers and the clergy not only have no respect for the will of the Iranian people, but have demonstrated their truly fascist essence by resorting to the most barbaric and inhumane crack downs on people’s peaceful demonstrations.

In their quest for achieving their goal, which is for a free, democratic and secular Iran, the Iranian people are being confronted by the most brutal and barbaric attacks by the state police, security forces and armed thugs organised by Ahmadinejad’s government. Thousands of protestors have been brutally assaulted and beaten up and many have been killed in the most vulgar manners during the peaceful rallies in Tehran and other major cities.

There are hundreds of pictorial evidences recorded on still and movie cameras showing the barbaric behaviours of the Islamic Republic’s security forces, which in time shall be presented to the International Courts of Law as hard evidence in order to bring the perpetrators of these crimes to justice. The ultimate responsibility of these crimes will be put upon the rulers of the regime, in particular, Mr. Khamenei himself; the so called “Supreme Leader”!

We, the undersigned, draw your immediate attention to the following:

• Any State with such measures of brutality and savagery against its own people can not possibly be tolerated and hence be worthy of recognition by the world community.

• At these critical moments, the Iranian people need the support of the world community who have been watching the ongoing events in Iran with dismay.

• The free and democratic nations can not possibly tolerate such barbaric behaviours of a repressive state against the will its own people.

• The Islamic Republic of Iran has been and continues to be in gross and intolerable violation of all international conventions to which they are party to and have been signatory to adhere to.

• After the recent events in Iran, and the barbaric response of the Islamic government to the protestors in the aftermath of the rigged “elections”, the world community can not possibly consider the Islamic Republic’s government as the true and legitimate representative of the great Iranian nation.

• We demand the United Nations to expel the Islamic Republic of Iran from the United Nations and void its membership in protest for its blatant violation of human rights in Iran. There are hundreds of undeniable pictures and video clips to substantiate this fact.

• Equally well, we ask all the Free States and governments of the world to expel the Islamic Republic’s so called “Diplomats” from their countries and to close down its embassies in their respective countries to show their denunciation of Islamic Republic’s inhumane behaviour against its people and to support the legitimate demands of the freedom seeking people of Iran.

We expect the free world community to stand beside the Iranian people during these critical times and to show their support for their freedom seeking struggle during these decisive moments.

Sincerely,

Petition 66: Global International Change Request 1- Tell Us Why 6 Million Dolphins Have Been Killed and Massacred In The Past 30 Years? And Why No Global Water Pollution Control Law?

Sign the Petition -

To: The Secretary-General of the United Nations, Elected Free World Leaders, Representative, and Human Rights Activists

We are outraged by the annual brutal slaughter of dolphins and whales that takes place in Japan and in the Faroe Islands Denmark. The images of bloody red water clearly show the world that Japan and Faroe Islands Denmark have little respect for the state of the world’s oceans and Dolphin rights to exist.

We demand that Japan and Denmark permanently and immediately renounce and stop dolphins slaughter. Please watch documentary video clips.[1]

How many dolphins do you think it is reasonable to kill in order to catch the Tuna fish?
In the past 30 years, 6,000,000 dolphins have been killed by "fishing on dolphins". [2]

The research, conducted at the Duke University Marine Laboratory (US) and the University of St. Andrews in Scotland (UK) estimate that approximately 308,000 dolphins, whales, and porpoises killed in fishing gear annually. [3]

When the total of 152 dolphins (79 in September and 73 in October 2007) were washed up on Iran's Persian Gulf, Jask coast “mass suicide” was blamed by officials news agency. Asking UN actions to stop severe oil pollution which poses serious threat to Persian Gulf ecosystem and corals, reported by BBC [1]. The precise cause of Persian Gulf dolphins’ tragedy by oil pollution or Navy Sonar has not been established yet and UN investigation is expected and required. [4]

If we knew the realities behind our choices, would take a step back and reconsider … Due to lack of comprehensive Unified International Mother Earth clean water act (ocean, sea, lakes, rivers, streams, wetlands, and ponds), we are asking our elected representative and UN to co-sponsor an important 360 degree clean water protection bill to stop over fishing and pollution, to clean Persian Gulf from oil pollution, to regulate harmful Navy Sonar systems, to establish international monitoring programs with the stringent "zero discharge" of pollutants into the mother earth’s waters, and integrated international community enforcement of water quality standards agreement.

We are also reminded by Albert Einstein, “The world is a dangerous place not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.”

We have learned from the Epic of Kings masterpiece by Ferdowsi (935-1020) the world famous great Persian poet: "Crush not even the tiny ant that beareth a grain of corn, for she hath life, and sweet life is a boon."

Now as a first step for the Real Global Change please sign, support, and distribute this petition to increase public awareness and global actions to promote Dolphin Rights to the same level of Human Rights. Due to the complexity of this major global problem domain, our active participation, and global dialogue is required and if you have a new innovating solution, brilliant idea, actions or recommendations please consider to share it with public in the comments section of this petition.

Recently, the well-known German magazine, Spiegel, followed by the English Daily Telegraph, didn't offer a single shred of historical evidence when they launched their unbridled barrage of attacks on the legacy of the benevolent king Cyrus the Great who is universally regarded as one of the most tolerant historical figures to ever rule.

Spiegel Magazine repeatedly claims that the notion of Cyrus having been a defender of Human Rights is a "hoax that the UN had fallen for." Spiegel Magazine's deception and misleading accusations is reminiscent of another formidable enemy of Cyrus the Great, the Islamic Republic of Iran.

In 1906, a formal English translation of Xenophon's story about Cyrus the Great's military campaigns was published. Xenophon, along with many other ancient sources regarded Cyrus the Great as a wise and benevolent leader who founded the Persian Empire, conquered Babylon; freed over 100,000 Jews from captivity; wrote mankind's first human rights charter; and ruled over his subjects with fairness and with justice.

According to historian Will Durant, Cyrus the Great's military enemies knew that he was lenient, and they did not fight him with that desperate courage which men show when their only choice is "to kill or die." As a result the Iranians regarded him as their "Father," the Babylonians as their "Liberator," the Greeks as a "Law-Giver," and the Jews as their "Messiah."

The Hebrew Bible mentions Cyrus the Great 23 times. In the Book of Isaiah, God calls Cyrus his "anointed one," messiah in Hebrew. "I call you by name," the text says. "I hail you by title." Cyrus is the only gentile in the Hebrew Bible to have earned such a distinction.

The Cyrus cylinder was discovered in 1879 by the Assyro-British archaeologist Hormuzd Rassam in the foundations of the Esagila (i.e., the Marduk temple of Babylon) and is kept today in the British Museum in London. The cylinder describes the Great King not as a conqueror, but as a liberator and the legitimate successor to the crown of Mesopotamia. Cyrus seems to have had no desire to force his new subjects into a single Persian identity, and had the wisdom to leave intact the functioning institutions of each kingdom he attached to the Imperial Crown.

Iranians worldwide are deeply offended by the baseless desecration of the founding father of Iran. We demand of Spiegel and English Daily Telegraph, in the strongest possible terms, an immediate apology, and an immediate retraction or a follow-up article based on real scholarship, real science and real experts in the field of Near Eastern history. We hope that this notice will suffice and obviate the need for further discussion.

Petition 56: Immediate and unconditional deletion of “Arabian Gulf” from Google Earth

To: International Media
February 19, 2008

Dear Administrators of Google Earth,

We, the undersigned, through this letter, protest your irresponsible, unscientific actions, and demand an immediate and unconditional deletion of “Arabian Gulf” from Google Earth.

Arbitrarily designating the Persian Gulf as the Arabian Gulf is an irresponsible violation of all historical and International standards and would undermine the integrity of Google Earth.

For the records, the name Persia has always been used to describe the nation of Iran, its people, and its ancient empires since 600 BC. It is derived from the ancient Greek name for Iran's maritime province, called Fars or Pars in modern Persian, Pars in Middle Persian and Pârsa in Old Persian, a word meaning "above reproach.” Persis is the Hellenized form of Pars, and through the Latinized word Persia, the other European nations came to use this word for the region. This area was the core of the original Persian Empire.

Since ancient times almost all foreigners referred to the entire country as Persia until March 21, 1935, when Reza Shah Pahlavi formally asked the international community to call the country Iran — a name that the people of Persia, themselves, used to refer to their country since the Sassanian period. "Iran" means "Land of Aryans". In 1959 some Persian scholars protested to the government that the name change had separated the country from its ancient civilization. Therefore, the late King Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi announced that both Persia and Iran can be used in Western languages.

Without disparaging the Arabs, Iranians are proud of their non-Arab heritage and strongly resent any attempt at denigrating or changing any aspect of their Iranian heritage. And the Persian Gulf occupies a pivotal place in the Iranian history and culture. Furthermore, Iran abuts the Persian Gulf for 2,000 Km, while about a dozen recently-created Arab Sheikhdoms and emirates border the Gulf on the other side.

The historical and geographical name of the Persian Gulf has been endorsed and clarified by the United Nations on many occasions and is in use by the UN, its member states, and all other international agencies worldwide. The last UN Directive confirming the name of the Persian Gulf was (reference ST/CS/SER.A/29/Add.2) on August, 18th 1994.

The worldwide Iranian people are deeply affronted by this arrogant designation of “The Arabian Gulf.” We demand, in the strongest possible terms, that you take immediate steps to restore the rightful name of the Persian Gulf to the waterway on Google Earth and delete any other arbitrary name. We hope that this notice would suffice and obviates the need for litigation.

Sincerely,

Petition 50: Nuclear Safety Warning in Iran – Accidents and Radiological Disaster In Progress

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To: Honorable UN Secretary General, IAEA, Human Rights Organizations, Environmental Organizations, People Of The World

We are deeply concerned about consequences of various accidents within any of the Islamic regime's nuclear facilities. Even without any accidents, we doubt it if the regime has imposed enough safeguards for radiation workers or people living around nuclear facilities. The reason is that based on the research done on conferences and papers written in the fields of Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) and nuclear safety in Iran, very few papers have addressed these subjects. Even those papers that addressed the subject of nuclear safety seemed to have addressed a specific issue rather than covering all aspects of nuclear safety or PRA. For example, one paper addressed the consequences of LOCA (Loss of Coolant Accidents) at Bushehr-1 NPP. However, there were no indications of studies for accidents scenarios initiated by external events, internal non-nuclear related explosions resulting in radiological contamination, Loss of Offsite Power (and Station Blackout), ATWS (Anticipated Transient without Scram) or secondary system failures, etc.

We are gravely concerned about the regimes programs for implementation and execution of ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) in various nuclear facilities. The Islamic Republic regime has demonstrated no respect for human life especially Iranian life, Iranian natural resources or environment during the past 28 years. Last year the regime cut down ~10,000 trees around Lavizan facilities. Reports out of Iran indicated that the entire area was severely contaminated and the regime had to cut down trees and remove topsoil in order to hide this leak from the IAEA. In addition, great majority (if not all) of the equipment, from centrifuges to valves, pumps, etc. are purchased from Pakistan, India, China, N. Korea and at best from Russia. All these countries especially Russians are notorious with unreliable, high maintenance equipment (examples: refer to the recent problems with the Russian side of International Space Station, or low reliability of Chinese and Korean missiles, etc.). With the Islamic Republic regime's track record on maintaining Iranian passenger planes, these nuclear facilities are ticking time bombs.

We therefore demand that all the Islamic Republic’s nuclear activities (commercial or government related) be stopped immediately, until such time that the regime can prove and demonstrate that enough safety measures have been developed and implemented into the design, operation and maintenance of all nuclear facilities throughout Iran. Further the Islamic regime should demonstrate that contingency plans including mitigation of consequences of catastrophic initiating events (such as seismic events), evacuation and recovery measures are established and ready to be implemented.

Aside from the political agenda, the IAEA has a moral and humanitarian responsibility to regulate requirements and oversee activities that will assure health and welfare of the workers and citizens around nuclear facilities. We therefore challenge the IAEA to provide detail safety inspection on all Iranian nuclear facilities and publish quarterly progress reports.

Sincerely,

Petition 49: Stay the Hands of the Murdering Mullahs

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To: Individuals, Human Rights Organizations, and Governments

The life that God gives, no man should extinguish. The blood-thirsty mullahs presently ruling Iran blatantly violate this sacred covenant by executing large numbers of people ranging from petty criminals to political opponents. The mullahs and their mercenaries are wasting precious human life to maintain themselves in power through terrorizing the population.

Mass public hangings, as well as secret executions in prisons, are routine in the tyrannical Islamic Republic of Iran. Recently Majid Kavousifar, 28, and his nephew, Hossein Kavousifar, 24, were hanged for the alleged murder of a hard-line judge, Hassan Moghaddas, a mullah-judge notorious for jailing and condemning to death political dissidents. The victims were hanged from cranes and hoisted high above one of Tehran’s busiest thoroughfares. This “judge” had repeatedly bragged publicly that he often issued a death verdict without even examining the charges against the individual. The Islamic Republic of Iran has the dubious distinction of executing more children, those under the age of 18, than any other country in the world. Such is the plight of the Iranian people.

Robert Tait of The Observer reported on August 19, 2007 from Tehran that “Iran Hangs 30 Over ‘US Plots.’” Accusing political dissidents as being agents of the U.S. and hanging them without even a semblance of due process is a heinous crime that every descent human being should do all he/she can to end.

“Injustice anywhere is threat to justice everywhere,” Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. warned us. Silence, complacency and indifference invariably play into the hands and schemes of tyrants. History is replete with cases of tyranny gathering momentum in the face of inaction by others, spreading far and wide and visiting great catastrophes on people.

We are also reminded by Albert Einstein, “The world is a dangerous place not because of those who do evil, but because of those who look on and do nothing.”

It is imperative that we do all we can, as individuals, organizations, and governments to stay the hands of the murdering mullahs in Iran, before their thirst for blood leads their campaign of oppression and death to the four corners of the globe.

We the petitioners demand:

* Immediate disbanding of capital punishment in the Islamic Republic of Iran and wherever else in the world this inhuman act is practiced.

* No summary judgments to be made about any accused without thorough and open trials with the fundamental assumption of innocence until proven otherwise.

* The authorities who issue death warrants of others must be held accountable for their actions.

Sincerely,

At every Inflection Points in the history of struggle for freeing our motherland from Islamist Invaders and occupiers of Iran (taazi), ActivistChat is using petitions as way of everyday protest until enough critical mass is created for Freeing motherland Iran.
ActivistChat is not using the Internet Petitions in classical sense and most of the time are used as a means of increasing public awareness and currently supporting over 90 petitions and Causes from different individuals and groups.
The idea of Petition is to facilitate grassroots democracy, using independent petition to give a high level of integrity to the process of Freeing Iran.
More petitions create a unity of vision among million of Iranians scattered around the world who can not communicate with each other.
- Activistchat is also using Petition as documenting the Crimes Against Humanity.
- Increasing public awareness.
- ActivistChat provides a comment section for additional information or enhancing the petition by others. You should not expect to agree 100% to sign Internet petition, prefect world or concept does not exist.
- ActivistChat believes that in a world with many powerful organizations, both private and governmental, responsible forms of collective grassroots expression are more important than ever before.
- ActivistChat believes the Internet can facilitate this kind of participatory democracy.
- The ActivistChat petitions are very demanding to push politicians to deliver small part of what activists are asking. It is not Activists job to make our demand practical.
- The ActivistChat petitions are based on facts and truth and it is not intended to please politicians. Due to creation of Fear Society by Islamofascist we don't expect many signatures.
- The ActivistChat is trying to clear Iran name, Iranian people as hostages of Mullahs and Iranian cultures from all the wrongs and damages that the Mullahs, Islamists, Mullah’s agents and current Taazi regime invaders and occupiers of Iran are doing in the name of Iran and Iranian people.

PETITION 1: Regime Change In Iran By Promoting Human Rights, Freedom and Free Referendum

To: President George W. Bush

The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW
Washington, DC 20500

Tuesday July 8th, 2003

Honorable President George W. Bush

CC: Heads of the world’s democratic states, U.S. Congress, the European Parliament, UN Commission on Human Rights, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch

It is the irony of history that in the land of Cyrus The Great, the birthplace of the first charter of the “Rights of Nations” and the “Declaration of Human Rights” over 2500 years ago, there is today no respect for human and civil rights by the Islamic regime. Cyrus, who was exceptionally tolerant of local religions and local customs and against slavery, is famous for freeing the 42,000 Jewish captives and allowing them to return to their homeland. His name appears twenty two times in the Bible. Were it not for Cyrus, it seems at least possible that the Jewish people would have become extinct in the fifth century BC and we would have never received their great contributions to mankind. Unfortunately, present day Iran is ruled by a small group of Islamic Mafia Clerics who are the embodiment of evil and have no respect for Human Rights in this land which is the birthplace of Darius The Great, Babak, Avicenna (Ibn Sina), Ferdowsi, Khayyam, Hafaz, Saadi and Rumi. We need the help and full support from the leaders of the free world to change this regime with no / minimum bloodshed.

Today Iranian people are demanding civil and political freedoms, separation of religion and government, equality and justice (especially for the Iranian women), the immediate liberation of all political prisoners and Free Referendum.

With regard to the above, we the undersigned request your urgent help so that another human tragedy can be prevented before the Islamic Republic’s regime causes another massacre in Iran. It is a regime that has executed over 120,000 political prisoners and freedom-loving Iranians in less than 2 decades. An Iran that is free from the current regime's rule will have countless benefits such as undercutting much of the funding for terrorist groups, paving the way for a more peaceful Middle East, and creating a region in which all inhabitants can participate in a system that is for the people and by the people. Protests and demonstrations are a democratic right of the Iranian people, and it is the duty of all freedom-loving people around the world to defend this right. Since there are over 1,000,000 Iranian-American and Iranian citizens in the United States we ask you as a responsible authority to defend the rights of not only our family members and fellow countrymen but of all people who demand freedom throughout the world. In this we ask that you respond to the following appeal:

1) In honor and memory of all the Iranian contributions to world history and mankind, please consider to proclaim 18Tir July 9 As “Iran’s Human Rights and Freedom Day” in the USA in an effort to attract peace-loving Americans in the struggle to support a free Iran and a more peaceful world.

2) Please condemn the inhumane crimes of the Islamic Regime of Iran and demand that it stop the suppression and use of violence against the demonstrators. Please give an ultimatum to the regime, urging it to step down peacefully because they have lost all legitimacy.

3) Please ask the international community to immediately send a team to observe the situation in Iran.

4) Please support the general demand of the Iranian people for a referendum and free elections observed by international organizations.

Since the September 11th tragedy, one of the most tragic human rights violations of recent times, the world community must deliver a strong condemnation to such violators, and we should not tolerate any human rights violations in any part of this planet by any group. Please consider the above requests from freedom and peace-loving Americans, Iranian-Americans, and the Iranian people who are great friends of all Americans and freedom-loving people of the world.

All human beings are in truth akin;
All in creation share one origin.
When fate allots a member pangs and pains,
No ease for other members then remains.
If, unperturbed, another's grief canst scan,
Thou are not worthy of the name of man.
Sa'adi (1215?-1292) Famous Persian Poet

Sincerely Yours,

Prime Minister Of Canada
Thursday July 24, 2003

The Right Honorable Jean Chretien:

CC: U.S. President, EU Heads of States, Heads of the world’s democratic states, General Secretary of the United Nations, The United Nation Commission for Humman Rights Special Rapporteur, U.S. Secretay of State, U.S. Congress, Senator Brownback, the European Parliament, Canada Foreign Minister, Amnesty International, International Journalism Group and Ms. Kazemi‘s Son, Mr. Stephan Hachemi
As you are aware, Ms. Zahra Kazemi, a Canadian-Iranian photojournalist, was arrested on June 23, 2003 and was savagely and barbarically beaten to death by Islamic regime officials. News agencies reported that Ms. Kazemi's body was buried on July 23, 2003, in Shiraz, Iran, contrary to the wishes of her family, and repeated formal requests from the Canadian government. "Don't send me your condolences when your government killed my mother, tortured her and still doesn't respond to my demands" - words that spoken by her son (for other detailed facts regarding the case please click on http://www.activistchat.com/reporter/index.html ).

The systematic use of torture and terror, as instruments of domestic and foreign policy employed by the Islamic Clerical regime in Tehran, is no doubt a crime against humanity. It is time for a collective and decisive action by the Canadian, G8 governments, and the international community to support the freedom-loving Iranian People, to put an end to such horrific crimes against humanity and to pave the way for freedom.

Today the Iranian people are demanding civil and political freedoms, separation of religion and government, equality and justice (especially
for the Iranian women), the immediate liberation of all political prisoners and Free Referendum.

With regard to the above, we the undersigned request your urgent help so that another human tragedy can be prevented before the Islamic regime causes another massacre in Iran. In this we ask that you respond to the following appeal:

- The continued legitimization of the Islamic regime in Iran must stop at once.
- Please give an ultimatum to the regime, urging it to step down peacefully because they have lost all legitimacy.
- Please ask the UN to immediately send a team to observe the situation in Iran.
- Please support the general demand of the Iranian people for a free referendum and elections observed by international organizations.

If the Islamic Clerical regime in Tehran does not step down peacefully please consider the following steps:
- Freeze All Assets Of The Regime.
- Discontinue Oil Imports From Iran.
- Expel The Islamic Clerical Regime From the UN.
- Expel The Islamic Regime's Ambassador From Canada and EU countries. Relations with the regime should be reduced to Consular level only, as to serve the consular needs of the Iranian people.

Since the tragedy on September 11th, one of the most tragic human rights violations of recent times, the world community must deliver a strong condemnation to such violators. To avoid another such tragedy we should not tolerate any human rights violations in any part of this planet by any group. ActivistChat PETITION 3: A Plea for Justice Bam Earthquake Genocide

View Current Signatures Petition 3 -

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To: International Criminal Court (ICC) Chief Prosecutor Mr. Luis Moreno Ocampo, Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights United Nations Office at Geneva, Human Rights Watch Geneva, Reporters Without Borders, U.S. President, heads of the world’s democratic states, General Secretary of the United Nations, U.S. Congress, and the European Parliament.
A Plea for Justice Bam Earthquake Genocide:

Ms. Adele Freedman, an American tourist who nearly perished on that fateful day as did tens of thousands of Iranians, said in her first NY hospital interview that "I'm only here because of the kindness of the Iranian people.." She was rescued by ordinary Iranians who had come to her aid, not by professional rescue teams or agents of the Islamic regime.

As it has been reported by many news agencies, the professionally trained rescue teams mobilized by the Unitred States and Israel were prevented to go to Bam by Islamic regime officials, while only small numbers of rescuers were allowed to enter the city only after the first 24 hours, which is the most critical time for saving people from Earthquake disasters. Rescuers, doctors, money, medicine, and food poured into Iran from over 70 countries, while the Mullahcracy prevented this aid from getting to Bam by creating many obstacles and delays. Much of the disaster aid has reportedly been stolen by the Clerics, their families and other regime officials. Why did the clerical regime wait several hours and in many cases days before allowing offerings of aid to reach the victims? Why do such "leaders" who profess to speak the word of God prevent highly trained Israeli and American search and rescue teams from saving the lives of suffering Iranians? Why did the regime order tens of thousands of Iranians from various cities who had gathered tents and other amenities for their compatriots in Bam to be turned away?

Over 20 years ago, the clerical regime supported a racketeering scheme that entailed seizing large chunks of land in Bam that would be used to build poorly designed and badly constructed houses and shops, subsequently issuing fatwas (religious opinions) that canceled previous orders of the Shah's government, which had banned such development in the earthquake-prone city.

Over the past 25 years the Islamic regime's agents, courts, judges and vigilantes have all committed acts of: murder, stoning, torture, assault, theft, destruction of property, arson, perjury, falsification of testimonials and material evidence, illegal surveillance, kidnapping, rape, blackmail, fraud, obstruction of justice, conspiracy to commit all of the above crimes, cover-ups and every other form of butchery and depredation.

WE, the undersigned, as members of the civilized world, call urgently on the UN and leaders of the free world to set up a committee to investigate the involvement of the clerical regime in crimes of Bam genocide, crimes of conspiracy to commit genocide and crimes against humanity according to the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and established International Law.

We, the Undersigned, therefore demand:
- That world governments declare the Islamic Clerical Regime of Iran as illegitimate and unfit to govern and therefore call for a free referendum to be held in Iran now by well-respected international organizations.
- That all top level regime officials be investigated and prosecuted by respected International Courts for genocide and many other crimes against humanity.

In the name of all who have suffered, died and currently endure in the struggle for freedom, now is the time to rise and be most vigilant and make your voice be heard.

Sincerely,

http://www.petitiononline.com/bamquake/petition.html

To: President Of United States, U.S. Congress, Senator Brownback, President Of Israel, EU Heads of States, Heads of the world’s democratic states, General Secretary of the United Nations, The United Nation Commission for Humman Rights Special Rapporteur, U.S. Secretay of State, the European Parliament, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch

PETITION: TRUE SECURITY BEGINS WITH REGIME CHANGE IN IRAN

As House Resolution 398 (May 06, 2004) has rightly recognized, the illegitimate government of the Islamic Republic of Iran has engaged, and continues to engage, in efforts to acquire nuclear weapons. Such weapons would pose an immediate threat not only to Iran's neigbors, but ultimately to the entire world.
The cruelty of the IRI regime is well known and abundantly documented. The regime has been implicated in assassinations throughout the Middle East, Europe, and the United States; the murder of more than 100,000 Iranians; continuing policies of rape, torture, and arbitrary imprisonment as political tools; and the kidnapping of thousands of women and girls for sale into prostitution and slavery.
According to the Department of State report released by the Department of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor on February 25, 2004: “The Government's poor human rights record worsened, and it continued to commit numerous, serious abuses. The right of citizens to change their government was restricted significantly. Continuing serious abuses included: summary executions; disappearances; torture and other degrading treatment, reportedly including severe punishments such as beheading and flogging; poor prison conditions; arbitrary arrest and detention; lack of habeas corpus or access to counsel and prolonged and incommunicado detention. Citizens often did not receive due process or fair trials. The Government infringed on citizens' privacy rights, and restricted freedom of speech, press, assembly, association and religion.” These and other abuses clearly indicate that the regime constitutes a grave threat to the people of Iran and to free people everywhere.
It has come to our attention that Israel and/or the United States may be contemplating a pre-emptive military strike against Iran's nuclear facilities. If the United States follows a policy based exclusively on the nuclear issue, however, the results will be catastrophic both for the Iranian people and, ultimately, for the Middle East and the world. Merely striking at Iranian nuclear facilities would at best delay the regime's nuclear program, driving it deeper underground; would certainly provoke even harsher measures against the Iranian people; and would likely lure the West into a false sense of security with the mullahs of the IRI regime plotting their ultimate retribution against America, Israel, and all others who have stood in their way.
The Islamist regime continues to actively undermine American efforts to rebuild Afghanistan and Iraq. Regime-backed agents and mercenaries are killing American soldiers, sailors, airmen, and Marines every week. To wait until Iraq and Afghanistan are “secure” before confronting the Iranian mullahs is folly; rather, the United States must take the battle to the enemy in Tehran.
The vast majority of freedom-loving Iranian people support the right of Israel and all of Iran's Middle Eastern neighbors, as well as the United States, to live in peace and security. Therefore, it is in our common interest that:

1. President Bush must support clear and open policy calling for regime change in Iran.
2. The Administration must abandon its policy of “Afghanistan yesterday, Iraq today, Iran maybe tomorrow”, and confront the threat from the IRI regime immediately.
3. President Bush must deliver an ultimatum to the IRI's primary hidden supporters (Britain) and secondary supporters (France, Germany, EU, Japan, Canada, Russia, and China) to stop giving economic assistance, intelligence assistance, or other assistance to the regime. The EU, in particular, should not use resources stolen from the Iranian people to finance its own failed welfare state.
4. The United States must deliver an unequivocal ultimatum to the Iranian regime to step down peacefully and immediately, and transfer power to a team of Iranian and Iranian-American leaders; this team would set up a referendum under US and international supervision with military presence of US, Sweden, Denmark, and the Netherlands in Iran as the peacekeeper. If the mullahs do not agree to step down peacefully, then the US should provide all necessary financial and military support for the freedom-loving Iranian opposition both inside and outside Iran to remove the regime in a short period of time.

The Bush Doctrine advocates America's active role in supporting freedom, democracy, and human rights throughout the world. We call on the Government to act in accord with this wise and noble policy, and help the Iranian people achieve their dream of a free and democratic Iran.

"Human beings are all members of one body.
They are created from the same essence.
When one member is in pain,
The others cannot rest.
If you do not care about the pain of others,
You do not deserve to be called a human being."
A Quote from Famous Persian Poet Saadi Shirazi
( 13th century Persian poet from Shiraz / Iran )

Sincerely Yours,

To: All Freedom-Loving Compatriots (Right, Left and Center)
A Plea For Support & Demonstration Attendance from all Freedom-Loving Activists around the world in our united fight against Terrorists, Islamofascists, and Fanaticism!

This is an invitation to join us in a worldwide demonstration against the Mafia Mullahs, Terrorists, Islamofascists, and Fanatics who intend to stop and kill the spread of FREEDOM, SECULARISM & DEMOCRACY around the World! Our unified presence in a worldwide demonstration will be the biggest blow to the Mafia Mullahs.

If you are against GENOCIDE,

If you are against TERRORISM,

If you are against FANATICS,

If you are against the MAFIA MULLAHS,

If you are against ISLAMOFASCISTS,

If you are against ALL HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATIONS,

If your family has been victimized by any act of terrorism (Sept 11th Terror Attacks, Terrorism in Europe, Middle East, Asia and throughout the world), please bring a picture of your loved one/s to the demonstration.

If your family has been victimized by the Islamist Mafia Regime in Iran or is a family member of one of the over 100,000 freedom-loving political prisoners, torture victims, or Iranians who have been executed in the past 25 years, please bring a picture of your loved one/s to the demonstration.

If you oppose all terrorism and acts of violence against those who wish to live in freedom, then your support and unity with the Iranian people should not be based on whether you are a democrat, republican, libertarian, conservative, independent, green, left, right, or center, but should be based only on your belief that the destiny of the human race is freedom and the unending pursuit of our wishes and our dreams.

Freedom-loving Iranians and people of the world invite you to participate in one of the following scheduled demonstrations, which are part of an overall offensive that is being launched against the Islamic Mafia Master's of Terror, who currently hold the Iranian people and much of the world hostage. Together we will destroy this fanatical virus that threatens to destroy all we have fought, suffered, and lived for, for so long! Our destiny is nothing less than absolute freedom, an end to political imprisonment, and the death of theocratic regimes everywhere!

What is The 18th of Tir (July 9th)?

18 Tir is a symbolic movement against the dictatorial Islamic Clerical Regime in Iran!
The 18th of Tir (July 9th) is an eternal epic poem of the freedom-fighters' brave and righteous movement against the tyrannical Islamic Regime. Nearly four years has passed since the painful and horrifying attack of the Islamic authorities against innocent freedom-demanding students. This attack was seen as so brutal and so violent that it brought back painful memories of the Mongolian invasion of Iran. The 18th of Tir is seen as a remembrance of those who stood up against tyranny and were subjected to brutal and inhumane acts of torture and violence by the hands of the Mullahs.

We the undersigned vow to attend one of the demonstrations listed below, or in the situation that we cannot attend, we pledge to agree with the spirit of the demonstrations and demand that the G8 governments support the freedom-loving Iranian people against the Masters of Terror, and discontinue all business ties with the terrorist regime in Iran. After all, the Iranian people have the best proven record of fighting against Islamic Fanatics, and over the past 25 years and despite the heavy losses they have incurred (100,000 + executions, imprisonment, rape and torture!), Iranians continue to fight against and resist the Islamofascists even as the EU and many UN governments support the regime.

We cannot sit around and wait for the bureaucracies of the world to bring freedom to WE THE PEOPLE, so we must join forces and unite with all who believe in freedom. When freedom is in danger, it matters little what political leanings or perspectives we hold. We are all human beings and so together we must show our strength through unity and defeat the Islamofascist Terrorists and the regimes who sponsor them as they work hard to divide us.

The hope is that this petition will continue long after 18tir and will serve as an online demonstration in support of the Iranian people and against tyranny. May freedom reign!

It is said that "powerlessness frustrates and absolute powerlessness frustrates absolutely; absolute frustration is a dangerous emotion to run a world with."
.........

The surest way of dealing with Islamofascism is through the effective inculcation of religious software that promotes tolerance of diversity, freedom of faith and conscious goodwill to all, as well as the purging of all the vile and discriminatory dogma that permeates the out-dated primitive belief of some 1400 years. The best place to start is clearly the home, then schools, and mosques where the deeply-entrenched mullahs and imams of vested interest must be compelled by law to refrain from preaching messages of hate and violence against the unbelievers.

We, free Iranian-Americans, express our deepest sympathy to the families of the victims of the September 11 tragedy and we condemn, in the strongest terms, the new coalition of Islamofascists who are planning another attack on US soil under the disgusting and dangerous banner of Islamofascism.

To: The Iranian public, American public and all freedom-loving compatriots throughout the world!

We, the undersigned, invite the Iranian public and citizens throughout the world to unite in a “United We Stand” International Candlelight Vigil on September 11, as a day of remembrance for victims of all human tragedies and loss. Let this be a day when we all unite, irrespective of cultural, religious and political differences in a united struggle for peace, free societies and secular democracies.

In order to increase humanities awareness and unity on every September 11th as it gets dark at night, please turn off every light in your home, step outside, get out of your car, or leave your office and light a candle in memory of the over 3000 victims of the September 11th terrorist attacks, as well as in remembrance of all victims of terrorism, wars and tyrannies of the past 60 years.

It is imperative that as citizens of the world we urge all democratic governments to learn from our history so that we may avoid future mistakes. The September 11th WTC terrorist attack was a tragedy, but it was also an opportunity to define a better future world order based on ethics, morale values, free society, human freedom and peace.

1,368 years ago, a great collection of books was kept in the Persian empire's Library at Tees-fun, which was the second biggest center of art, literature, and science in the world. This vast collection of books was set ablaze and destroyed by fundamental Islamist invaders, possibly setting the world's clock back by at least 400 years. The massive libraries so carefully collected by the Sassanian Empire scattered in the capricious winds of the fundamental Islamist edict:“If the books herein are in accord with Islam, then we don't need them. If the books herein are not in accord with Islam, then they are kafir (of the infidel).”

The Islamist Clerical Terrorist Regime in control of Iran can take 70 million Iranian citizens hostage, and can torture and execute over 120,000 Iranian political prisoners, but they cannot shake the immortal foundation and spirit of Cyrus The Great, the founder of First Declaration of Human Rights. As humanity rejected slavery and European colonialism, sending those broken concepts to the dustbin of history, the dictatorial nature and tyranny of Islamist Terror Masters will be rejected everywhere and must be replaced with free societies and secular democracies.

To stay silent and remain indifferent in the face of these barbaric atrocities and danger is indeed a sin for the believers and a cowardly act for the non-believers.
"Human beings are all members of one body.
They are created from the same essence.
When one member is in pain,
The others cannot rest.
If you do not care about the pain of others,
You are not worthy of being called a human."
(A quote from a renowned Persian Poet, Saadi Shirazi 12th to 13th century AD)

The goals, demands and beliefs of the signatories from around planet Earth are summarized in the following points:
1. Complete separation of religion from the state in every country of the world.
2. The “War On Terror” is UNWINNABLE and the world peace can not be achieved as long as the Unelected Islamists Terror and Torture Masters are in power in Iran. The terror state and fear society can not create stability.
3. Complete and thorough acceptance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
4. A free, open and democratic referendum after regime change in Iran that is monitored by independent and objective NGOs from countries throughout the world.
5. The territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Iran.

Sincerely,

The New York-based Alavi Foundation is a high-profile organization that claims to be a non profit devoted to promoting Islam and the Persian language, and has even reportedly made donations to former President Bill Clinton's foundation. But it has been under FBI suspicion for years over alleged ties with Iran.

On Thursday, those suspicions were laid out in a civil claim filed by federal prosecutors in New York seeking forfeiture of Alavi's interests in a Manhattan skyscraper and other properties that it owns in New York, Maryland, Virginia, Texas, and California. At least four mosques are located on these properties.

.....

Federal investigators have been looking into the Foundation at least as far back as 2003, according to the Washington Post.

"US law enforcement and intelligence officials believe Alavi and its related institutions are a vehicle through which the Iranian regime keeps tabs on Iranians here, obtains data about US technology, promotes Tehran's views on world affairs, provides gathering places for pro-Iran activists and channels money to US academics to gain a friendly reading on Iran," reported the Post in 2003.

To: Honorable President Of United States George W. Bush, General Secretary of the United Nations Mr. Kofi Annan, U.S. Congress, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mr. John Bolton, Senator Brownback, EU Heads of States, Heads of the world’s democratic states, The United Nation Commission for Human Rights Special Rapporteur, US Secretary of State, the European Parliament, Amnesty International, Reporters Without Borders , Human Rights Watch, and International Criminal Court (ICC)

The undersigned are individually or as a group unequivocally and unconditionally are in favor of regime change in Iran by peaceful means. We believe this could effectively be done through support of the Iranian Opposition Groups within Iran and outside along with world wide economic sanctions, targeting government hierarchy of the Islamic Republic of Iran. We support and respect the aspiration of the people of Iran for freedom and democracy.

We further declare that:

1- Mahmood Ahmadinejad does not represent Iranian people as his election involved fraudulent activities.

2- In the 2nd article of IRI constitution it is stated that the foundation of governing, and legislation only comes from God. Foundation and basis of legislation comes from Quran and living tradition of Prophet Mohammad and his family. “Imam” supreme leader or (Velayate Faghih) is the interpreter of the legislations.
Velayat e Faghih is an unelected body and does not represent Iranians. The position of “Imam” supreme leader or (Velayate Faghih) is contrary to any fundamentals of democracy.

3- Based on the constitution of the IRI, the “Imam” supreme leader or (Velayate Faghih) is the interpreter of the legislations in addition to the fuqaha' of the Guardian Council who are judges in this matter. The guardian council members are selected by the Imam.
Therefore, religious discrimination, killing of the non-Moslems, individual or group execution of the dissidents, amputation of limbs, eye gouging, flogging, torture, raping the virgin dissident females the night before the execution, stoning, property confiscation of the Moslems and non-Moslems, killing of persons who change their religion, killing of homosexuals, valuing women half of a man, killing of children by their fathers or grandfathers, selling daughters at any age for marriage, execution of children , state sponsorship of terrorism and support of religious terrorism worldwide to export the divine rule is considered legal
and in accordance to the religious order.

4- Human Rights violations by the Islamic "Republic" of Iran have reached an unprecedented colossal level of cruelty and barbarism.

5- We further recognize bombing Iran and its infrastructure will drive a wedge between the Iranian people who are the most pro-American nation in the Middle East if not in the world and the west.

6- We have come to the conclusion that the only way to deal with this unelected and undemocratic regime is to deal with it strongly and with a comprehensive set of measures. The measures that we recommend and strongly advocate are as follows:

* Stop, with immediate effect, all international trades with the undemocratic Islamic “Republic” of Iran.
*Stop the purchase of oil from Iran and refrain from signing any new contracts and renewal of any existing ones.
* Blockade Iran’s ports in the Persian Gulf and possibly the Caspian Sea allowing passage of food and medicine.
*Stop all IRI satellite TV and Radio programming to the outside world.

* Cease all Mullahs personal assets outside Iran including its support organization such as Alavi Foundation in New York City.

* Freeze IRI assets outside of Iran and impose prohibition on investment, a travel ban, and asset freezes for government leaders and nuclear scientists.
* Worldwide announcement to all nations that any deals and contracts made with IRI (Islamic Republic of Iran) by any entity is null and void. The IRI does not represent Iranians.
* Publicly identify known IRI agents, arrest and prosecute their agents abroad as promoters of international terrorism and abusers of human rights. Shut down all illegal unregistered agent organizations representing IRI interests, their lobbyist and apologists.
* Close or limit Islamic Republic’s embassies and its activities including travel limits on Iranian diplomats.
* Release the frozen assets of Iran to the IRI opposition to be spent on strike funds and promotion of democracy.
* Expel IRI representatives from UN since the IRI constitution is contrary to the UDHR (Universal Declarations of Human Rights).

Please remember; the key to salvation of Iraq is also in freedom of Iran. The freedom-loving countries of the world must unite and assist Iranian people to end this embarrassment to humanity and civility called Islamic Republic and allow Iran to come back to the arms of the civilized nations.

In helping us, you have stopped the violence in Iraq and have made Iran reach democracy with minimum bloodshed and have preserved the peace and freedom worldwide.

God Bless all of peace and freedom-loving people.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

To: To: The Secretary General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan,The United Nations High Commissioner of Human Rights, Louise Arbour,The Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei, and The Head of the Judiciary of IRI Ayatollah Mahmoud Has

We, the undersigned, are deeply concerned for 18-year-old Nazanin who faces execution by the Islamic Republic of Iran.

On January 3, 2006, 18-year-old Nazanin was sentenced to death for murder by court in Iran after she reportedly admitted fatally stabbing one of three men who attempted to rape her and her 16-year-old niece in a park in Karaj (a suburb of Tehran) in March 2005. She was seventeen at the time. Her sentence is subject to review by the Court of Appeal, and if upheld, to confirmation by the Supreme Court.

According to reports in the Iranian newspaper E?temaad, Nazanin told the court that three men had approached her and her niece, forced them to the ground and attempted to rape them. Seeking to defend her niece and herself, Nazanin stabbed one man in the hand with a knife that she possessed. As the men continued their attack, she stabbed another of the men in the chest, which eventually caused his death. She reportedly told the court ?I wanted to defend myself and my niece. I did not want to kill that boy. At the heat of the moment I did not know what to do because no one came to our help?. She was nevertheless sentenced to the maximum punishment possible under the law, death by hanging.

Urgent action is needed to help save a young life whose only crime was an attempt to defend herself. Nazanin and many like her are caught between two undesirable options. On one hand, Iranian Penal Code severely limits the possibility of using ?self-defense? as a legitimate defence to aggression. On the other hand, if Nazanin had allowed the rape to take place, she could still be imprisoned, flogged or stoned for having sex outside of marriage unless four male witnesses to the actual rape would testify on her behalf.

Moreover, Iran is a signatory to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) and the Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) and is therefore under obligation NOT to impose the death penalty on those under the age of 18. Nevertheless, Amnesty International has recorded 18 executions of child offenders in Iran since 1990. In 2005 alone, at least eight executions of child offenders were recorded. Nazanin was 17 years old at the time of commission of the offense and therefore Iran is in breach.

We urge that the death sentence imposed on Nazanin be commuted immediately;
We urge the authorities to carry out a thorough review of the case, in particular the limits of self-defense as detailed in the Iranian Penal Code;
We urge the authorities to ensure that the victim?s family is made aware of its right, under Islamic law, to request a pardon of the condemned;
We appeal to the Islamic Republic of Iran to honor its commitment to the ICCPR and ICC, to which they are a state party.

Sincerely,

To: UNESCO World Heritage Committee Members, Honorable Koffi A. Annan, Secretary General of the United Nations, Honorable leaders of the Free World, Honorable Citizens of the Planet Earth
The Islamic Republic of Iran, which holds in great contempt any non-Islamic belief or heritage, has embarked on destroying the archeological sites of Pasargad and Persepolis -- some of humanity's most prized cultural heritage. The heinous destruction of the two Buddha statues by Afghanistan's Taliban, pales in comparison to the present barbaric designs of the Islamic Republic.

Pasargad and Persepolis are more than a mere collection of ancient structures. They are embodiments of humanity's historical respect for liberty and tolerance of diversity. Among the sites to be destroyed is the tomb of the renowned Archimedean king, Cyrus the Great, of 2500 years ago who is recognized as the early champion of human rights. It was this great trailblazer of human rights who freed the Jews from captivity and promoted freedom of culture, religion and beliefs in the vast empire under his rule.

The construction of the Sivand Dam on the Polvar River that will submerge this priceless historical and cultural site began in 1992 without consultation with or the knowledge of the Cultural Heritage Organization officials. The dam is slated for operation in early 2006. Once in operation, the dam will eventually flood the entire Tang-e Bolaghi (Bolaghi Gorge) mountain pass and the surrounding region. As a result some 8 kilometers of the Bolaghi Gorge will be submerged and lost forever. The experts of ICHCTO and the Pars-e Pasargad Research Foundation have identified more than 100 archeological sites that are threatened with permanent destruction.

It is humanity's most precious heritage -- yours and your descendents' heritage -- of great value which is in dire need of your support. Generations of humanity will bemoan the loss of this living testimony to the nobility of mankind. The destructive hand of the Islamic zealots must be stayed. Stand up, raise your voice and do what is in your power to preserve what is rightfully yours.

Sincerely,

To: People of the world and the United Nations Organization

We, the undersigned, regretfully have to inform all the inhabitants of our planet earth that one of the greatest parts of the historical heritage of human race is on the verge of permanent extinction. The Islamic Republic of Iran has embarked on the finalizing stages of a dam construction in south of Iran that will ultimately drown the archeological sites of Pasargad and Persepolice, the ancient capital of the Archimedean Empire – a rich and complex site that, since its inception, has been considered by all writers of antiquity as one of the wonders of the ancient world and, thus, a part of the cultural heritage of the human race.

Comparing to the destruction of two Buddha statues in Afghanistan by the Talibans, this new threat and its consequent loss is beyond any imaginable destruction that have been inflicted on the history of the world. Although these glorious remainders of the Iranian history are a part of this nation’s historical identity, their loss is not by any means confined to them. That is to say, it is not only the Iranian nation that would be deprived of the most important part of its cultural identity; it is the world history that is in danger.

Considering only one fact could convey a powerful message to all of us. Amongst the sites that are threatened to be wiped from the face of the earth lies the tomb of Cyrus the Great, the Archimedean king of 2500 years ago who, in his unification of political systems, brought freedom to all those nations that lived under his lead through his “Declaration of Human Rights.” In fact, he is considered as the first human being in power who has advocated for the right of humans to choose and adhere to their values, cultures, religious creeds and trains of thought. A replica of the cylinder of his declaration is now exhibited in the UN building to symbolize the long efforts of our race to exit from the savagery of the animal kingdom and enter into the man-made civilized world. It is the tomb of this father of human rights that is being totally erased amongst many other historical monuments.

We call upon the conscious of all human beings and caution them about this immanent threat that is shadowing over an ancient country, culture and history. We need to see the immediate action of all world organizations, especially the United Nations and its cultural wings such as UNESCO, to step in and stop this inhumane cruelty to such precious heritages of our human race. We need to see immediate action and will follow our petition in any venues that are opened to us. Accordingly, we are setting up an “International Committee to Save the Archeological Sites of Pasargad” and invite every body to join it. We have to remember this: If the civilized world does not stop such a horrendous action of the forces of destruction now, we will soon lose everything that our civilization has created.

On behalf of the “International Committee to Save the Archeological Sites of Pasargad”

Shokooh Mirzadegi (Iranian writer)
Dr. Esmail Nooriala (Iranian Writer)

Many female former political prisoners raped by Ahmadinejad. Such a dirty person and virus is not president of Iran.
5- Ahmadinejad is responsible for “Lovers of Martyrdom Garrison” in Iran that would recruit individuals willing to carry out suicide operations against Western targets. Do not allow this Terrorist to put his foot on US soil and enter UN.
6- Ahmadinejad played a central role in the seizure of the United States embassy in Tehran in November 1979 and he was key American hostage-taker for the 444-day.

How can you accept and allow this Brutal Man, Thug, Terror and Torture Master to put his feet on US soil and attend the UN General Assembly in New York?

"Human beings are all members of one body.
They are created from the same essence.
When one member is in pain,
The others cannot rest.
If you do not care about the pain of others,
You do not deserve to be called a human being."
A Quote from Famous Persian Poet Saadi Shirazi
( 13th century Persian poet from Shiraz / Iran )

To: Honorable President Of United States George W. Bush, General Secretary of the United Nations Mr. Kofi Annan, U.S. Congress, U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Mr. John Bolton, Senator Brownback, EU Heads of States, Heads of the world’s democratic states, The United Nation Commission for Human Rights Special Rapporteur, U.S. Secretay of State, the European Parliament, Amnesty International, , Reporters Without Borders , Human Rights Watch, and International Criminal Court (ICC)

WE, the undersigned, as members of the civilized freedom-loving people of the world, call urgently to expel Islamic Clerical Regime from the United Nations:

Human Rights violations by the Islamic "Republic" of Iran have reached an unprecedented level of cruelty and barbarism.

The savage and rather cruel murder of Mr. Ghaderi in Mahaabaad, of Kurdistan province, charged with participating in an anti government demonstration (where his body sliced in the middle, attached to a jeep and pulled on streets) caused outrage and severe protests from people of Kurdistan. The agents of the Government of the Islamic "Republic" of Iran have shoot at the crowd of protesters, killing and wounding a number of people and detaining many more.

Akbar Ganji and Manoochehr Mohammadi, two of the political prisoners, stand up to their death demanding their most basic human rights while the cruel regime of the Islamic "Republic" of Iran stubbornly demonstrates indifference to all warnings and demands from international political authorities and human rights officials. Not only do they not take any notice of what is being demanded but they also consider it as interference in the internal affairs of the country.

Where does such judgment emanate from?

While on one hand, the Islamic "Republic" of Iran is a signatory to many international contracts, including the World Charter of Human Rights, has its agents present at the United Nations as representatives of the nation. At the same time and on the other hand it practices entirely different sets of laws inside the country. These practices are in sharp contrast with the international laws and particularly the Human Rights Charter. The Supreme Leader who is currently Ali Khamenei, otherwise known as "Veliyat-eh-Faghih" is legally entitled to ignore and revoke any international contract, internal law, decisions of any or all of the three branches – legislative, judiciary, and executive – of the government and place his own decree, titled "Guardian Decree” (“Hokme Velaayati”) above all international or internal verdicts. The role of Supreme Leader in the constitution is based on the ideas of Ayatollah Khomeini, who positioned the Leader at the top of Iran's political power structure. It is him also who is responsible to propagate the Islamic Government, that he knows it as God’s Government, in any possible way throughout the world. His decree is considered as God’s decree!!

We draw your attention to only a few articles of the Islamic Republic laws in the following page.

Reforming the structure of the United Nations is a historical necessity. In this grand motion, do you not presume that representatives of all governments whose internal laws are in sharp contrast to the International Human Rights Charter and other international contracts must be expelled from this organization and be replaced by the true representatives of nations?

As an authority effective in the fate of humanity, your precise views are what we earnestly desire.
Please, send your views to the following address and let us work in a synergic team to relief our world from insecurity and terror.

To: The Honorable Senators and Members of the United States Congress

What is being brought to your attention is not a partisan issue; rather, it is crucial to our national security and our way of life. The Iranian People are in the midst of an epic struggle to reverse the course of history and in trying to stop the rise of Islamic Fundamentalism and terrorism. The Iranian People are fighting to save the soul of a nation, similar to what was happening prior to the establishment of a “Government by the people and for the people” here in the United States of America. The Iranian People are dismayed that their relentless efforts to overthrow this government have no European partners and that only President Bush has publicly challenged the Islamic government to allow free elections. They so desperately need your total support in order to return to the community of civilized nations.

This so called "election" was boycotted by all opposition groups inside and outside Iran. Even political prisoners such as Mr. Akbar Ganji and several other political prisoners, have been on a hunger strike for an extended time ( Mr. Ganji for) over 50 days and he is dangerously close to death, asked from their prison cells for the boycotting of the presidential "election". Another political prisoner, Mr. Manoochehr Mohammadi, is in coma.

Are you ready for this? Mr. Mahmood Ahmadinejad, the president (s)elect of the Islamic Republic is planning a trip to New York, a city where terrorists clearly showed what they are made of and what they intend to do! Secretary of State, Dr. Condoleezza Rice, has called the latest stage managed Presidential election in Iran “a sham election,” and rightly so. The man picked to lead Iran is a known terrorist who was definitely involved in one of the darkest events in Iran’s 2500 year history. Further, as a Commander in the Revolutionary Guard, he was the mastermind in assassinating the opposition both inside and outside Iran. Finally, he has personally executed hundreds of innocent Iranians whose only crime was advocating democracy. Mr. Ahmadinejad has recently supported the martyrdom brigades in Iran. For those of you unaware of what this is, the martyrdom brigades are supposed to be volunteers but are really individuals who have been brain washed and trained to be suicide bombers. The mission of the martyrdom brigades is to cause havoc and chaos in America and disrupt American business transactions world wide. You might be surprised to learn that their cause has been blessed by the so called Supreme Leader of the Islamic revolution, Khamenei, as well as the President elect Ahmadinejad.

Maybe we did not speak up quickly enough during Hitler’s atrocities, but here is a second chance, something history rarely affords us. The Islamic Government is a menace to the world and an extremely dangerous threat to our national security and our way of life. Issuing a visa to this sub-human to enter the United States of America is a slap in the faces of the 52 American Diplomats held for 444 days as “hostages.” If this creature is permitted to enter our country, it would border on treason and tells the terrorists of the world that behind our tough talk of terrorism, we don’t really mean it.

Dear Senators and Members of Congress: Do your American duty, deny this gangster, terrorist and murderer a visa to enter the United States and protect America. We will expect nothing less. If his arrival becomes imminent, we will take our case to the American people. We will fight to reverse this moral injustice.

God Bless America,

Sincerely,

PETITION 14: Demanding action against any nuclear adventures led by the mullahs in Iran and to FREE Iran and its people from this nightmare and tyranny

To: UN and Free World Leaders

We, the undersigned, urge you, the members and officers of the United Nations General Assembly, to use all of your diplomatic and political skills and power to intervene to prevent any attack by Islamist Security Forces of Iran against the freedom loving & free spirited people of Iran and its neighbors.

Over the last 26 years the undemocratic and theocratic clerical regime in Iran has demonstrated time and again that it is not willing to listen to voice of reason and it has kept its 70 Million citizens as hostages in their own country.

Therefore, we have come to the conclusion that the only way to deal with this unelected and undemocratic regime is to deal with it strongly and with a comprehensive set of measures. The measures that we recommend and strongly advocate are as follows:

1. To stop, with immediate effect, all international trades with the undemocratic Islamic “Republic” of Iran.
2. To stop the purchase of oil from Iran and not to start any new contracts or renew any existing ones.
3. To blockade Iran’s ports in the Persian Gulf and also possibly the Caspian Sea.

It is our belief that if the above measures are taken together, in a very short time, the Iranian regime will be starved of foreign currency and therefore it will come down to its knees which in turn will expedite their inevitable downfall and this nightmare will come to a swift end sooner rather than later.

Further more, we believe that the UN must insist not only on installation of cameras in all of the atomic sites but to ensure full adherence, it must also insist on having some of its nuclear experts and qualified personnel present at the known atomic sites. By having a presence in Iran the UN scientists can closely monitor the activities of these unreliable lawless charlatans and while in Iran the UN scientists should also try to discover the yet undeclared atomic sites and hiding places of which there are suspected to be hundreds.

We do urgently need, before it is too late, to protect the citizens of the world against any nuclear adventure by the evil minded regime in Iran.

Finally, the following is just a reminder of some of the crimes and atrocities that this inherently evil and unbelievably cruel regime has committed.

1) Islamist Security Forces beat and arrest peaceful women protesters at free political prisoners rally in Iran. (Source Reuters 12 Jul 2005 15:17:27 GMT http://activistchat.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6491 )
According to reports from 4 different sources to Radio Yaran (*1) four plain cloth officers of the dreaded security forces savagely beat to death a 50 plus year old woman in front of Tehran University. Her only crime was to shout “FREEDOM”.
(*1) Radio Yaran is an opposition radio, based in LA, broadcasting news and information to Iran.

2)
Ms. Zahra Kazemi, a Canadian-Iranian photojournalist, was arrested on June 23, 2003 and was savagely raped and barbarically beaten to death by Islamic regime officials. (Source: http://activistchat.com/petition2.html )

3) Over the past 26 years the Islamic clerical regime's agents, courts, judges and vigilantes have all committed acts of murder, stoning, torture, assault, theft, destruction of property, arson, perjury, falsification of testimonials and material evidence, illegal surveillance, kidnapping, rape, blackmail, fraud, obstruction of justice, conspiracy to commit all of the above crimes, cover-ups and every other form of butchery and depredation.

4) The Islamic Clerical Regime has executed over 120,000 political prisoners and freedom-loving Iranians in less than 2 decades.

5) The recent brutal murder of the Iranian Kurdish activist photos, Mr. Shwaneh Ghaderi is an example of human rights violations by Islamic Clerical security forces in northwest Iran. ( http://activistchat.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=6503 )

6) Massive Clashes Continue in Kurdistan

and countless other examples.

To stay silent and remain indifferent in the face of these barbaric atrocities and danger is indeed a sin for the believers and a cowardly act for the non-believers.

“To sin by silence, when we should protest, Makes cowards out of men.” Ella Wheeler Wilcox (November 5, 1850 -- October 30, 1919)

The following is a quote from a renowned Persian Poet by the name of Saadi Shirazi who lived during the 12th to 13th century AD in Iran and traveled the world widely.
This is what he has to say with regards to fellow human beings in pain:

"Human beings are all members of one body.
They are created from the same essence.
When one member is in pain,
The others cannot rest.
If you do not care about the pain of others,
You are not worthy of being called a human."
(Saadi Shirazi was born in Shiraz which is also the birthplace of Ms. Zahra Kazemi)

Our goals and desire are summarized in the following 5 points:
1. Territorial integrity and national sovereignty of Iran, and acceptance of the Shir-o-Khorshid flag as the Iranian national flag.
2. Complete separation of religion from the State.
3. Acceptance of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.
4. Free, open and democratic referendum to elect the type of the new Government of Iran in the post-IRI era.
5. Minimum standard of living for all citizens of Iran and equal opportunity for all citizens to benefit from country’s national wealth.

Sincerely,
