Bush and Muhammad
April 04, 2005
Iran va Jahan
Mehdi Mozaffari
What President Bush is doing for the democratization of the Middle East has no other historical equivalent than what Prophet Muhammad did in the 7th century (A.D.) when he came forth with a new religion: Islam. At that time, the people in Arabia, in Persia, in Great Syria, in Egypt and other parts of this region lived under repressive regimes whose corruption and extravagancy rendered life insupportable. Muhammad showed them a way to get rid of their oppressors. He came with simple but powerful ideas: "There is no God other than Allah" and human beings are equals before Him. Powered with these ideas, Muslims spread the new doctrine in all directions. Repressive regimes fell one by one and became Muslim, but not always peacefully. And this was the end of Jâhiliyya (Ignorance).
Now, after fourteen centuries, signs of deep crisis and incurable fatigue are evident in Muslim societies where violence, repression, backwardness and discrimination, are revealing the presence of a New Jâhiliyya.
New epochs demands new solutions. In our time, human rights and democracy are the most effective remedies to political diseases. Bush's project on democratization of the wider Middle East is the most serious and the most courageous project that has ever been implemented in this region, since the Prophet Muhammad. George Bush is not a prophet, nonetheless, he is the man who fully understood the exigencies of the world time and stood firmly on his position. Encouraged by his steadfast support, Afghans, Iraqis, Egyptians, Saudians, and Lebanese are standing up to obtain their democratic rights. Soon other peoples will join the new cohort of democracy.
One day, the people of the Middle East will thank President Bush for his outstanding efforts and will raise monuments in honour of American soldiers, killed in the cause of liberty and the well being of the descendants and disciples of Muhammad.

Thank you Khorshid-jaan. I was going to post it as well; do these people have no shame when they try to portray it as if Iranians EMBRACED this filthy taazi religion!? I don't know what else to tell these "peepole" just SHAME on them! What they are in fact doing is spitting on the graves of Iranian heroes like Babak Khorammdin, Yaqoob Leis Saffarid, and thousands of other protectors of Iran, who gave their lives to protect Iran against the savage taazi's and their equally savage religion!

Dear L,
I highlighted that particular sentence because it is a monstrous and the most barefaced rewriting of history. Look at the rest of the article! “Mohammad showed,” when Mohammad had died 5 years before the Arab bandits decided to attack and loot Iran? Banditry, whether Islamic or done in the name of Islam, is equivalent to democracy? Iran’s “repressive regime” had made life “insupportable”? (Here I could not help be reminded of Ebadi’s use of a similar expression when referring to life before the coming of her Ayatullah.) These, and more, by a website run by group of bloodsucking opportunists claiming to be a part of the opposition. Opposition to what?
Compare the above with the following article published by, of all websites, the Guardian!

Dear Khorshid,
That article by the Guardian is indeed a rare one, but maybe as world events are changing and the internal situation in Iran is rapidly moving towards an overthrow of the occupational regime of the Islamic Republic, just maybe they realize that they cannot continue with their usual IRI-line reports.
Lets hope it's so! Even if the Brits come out and condemn their fellow Mollah partners, now that they see their end, we shall never forgive or forget.
