The Idiot Intellectuals who ushered in the Islamic Republic and then spent 25 years defending it: Aping the French like Zombies Without Any Understanding!

Note: Considering the full extent of the destruction of a nation, its people, and its culture, not to mention the scope of genocide, cruelty and barbarism that was brought forth by this group, alongside the sheer lunacy of embracing the backwards genocidal cult of Islamism, in using the term 'idiot' in reference to these intellectuals, I am of course being very kind Laughing So the term 'idiot' intellectual only refers to the group that ushered in the IRI in collaboration with the murderous Mullah$, not the many brilliant and patriotic intellectuals who were sadly killed by the IRI or forced to flee for fighting it!

The problem with these idiot intellectuals of '79 was that they were simply aping French philosphers, without even thinking whether the critiques of these French philosphers about modern French and European society even applied to a backwards country like Iran or not. Bani Sadr et. al, had all come from a background worshipping and following French philosophers.

Their gods like Fannon and many other French philosophers were engaged in a heavy critique of industrialisation, modernity, progress and the machine age. They preached a rejection of modernity, industrialisation and progress (using Marxist dialectics as a methodolgoy for critique and analysis) in order to bring back the spiritual values that had been lost to progress. Now this critique made sense for an advanced society like France that had been undergoing rapid transformation through industrialisation, progress, and modernity at a breakneck speed for over a century, and had already achieved an advanced, modern, progressed and fully industrialised state. In addition, France was already prosperous, stable, democratic and educated.

Iran on the other hand, had just emerged out of the dark ages, and gone through preliminary stages of industrialisation, modernity, and progress for only a short few decades, and had a long way to go to catch up with France and Europe. Meanwhile our idiot intellectuals, who thought their French teachers were gods and their words the 10 commandments, had to quote, ape and copy them without any questioning, reasoning, analysis or critical and independent thinking of their own, thus the term 'idiot'! Like apes in a zoo copying humans without the same understanding, our idiot intellectuals decided to ape the French philosophers without any understanding.

None of these idiot intellectuals bothered to ask, is it a good idea to eliminate modernity and secularity in a culture that has just barely emerged out of the Dark Ages? Does a critique of an advanced society in Europe, automatically transfer and carry over to a backwards country like Iran? Is it a good idea to reject modernity, secularity, industrialisation, and progress in a country that has barealy achieved any of these? Is is a good idea to return to pre-industrialisation roots as the French claimed, when the same roots in Iran had dominated a backwards Iran for centuries preventing its progress, stability and prosperity?!

The problem is also to some extent our culture, we don't promote individuality or independant thinking. 25 years after the '79 national suicide led by these idiot intellectuals and their murderous Mullah collaborators, some Iranian intellectuals in the west simply repeat the same mistakes, they ape western inetellectuals much like their predecessors did, without any understanding. I've listened to Iranian intellectuals in the west who can go on and on about the plight of the Palestinians, but they draw a blank if you bring up the plight of Iranians suffering under the IRI. They can go on and on about Tiannemon Square, but know very little about the brutal crushing of the 1999 student uprising in Iran. Do you know why? They only repeat what their western colleagues preach, they copy and ape it, just like the idiot intellectuals of the '79 revolution. If the western intellectuals they are aping talk about the Palestinians, so will they, if the western intellectuals denounce US Imperialism so will they, even though their country of origin is being destoyed by one of the world's most anti US totalitarian govt.s. , all they have to offer is: more anti US rhetoric after their western cloning sources! I think Dolly the cloned sheep may have actually had more originality than these idiot intellectuals!

Our culture rewards those who follow approved paths. Individuals, eccentrics, original thinkers, creatives or those who 'think outside of the box' are not rewarded, but criticised and often times ridiculed, or simply dismissed as inappropriate, extreme or threatening in some way. Persian/Iranian families follow the model of shame-based family systems where there is no real individuation and separation, this is a common feature of agrarian cultures. Some of our intellectuals merge into ideological families, where their own idividuality and indpendent thinking is annihilated. Unfortuantely we live in a modern world, where individuation and separation is necessary, so most Persians are conflicted between embracing western Individuation and Separation and Persian shame-based family systems. Instead of integrating both experiences, individuality and family based identity as many healtheir cultures have evolved to do, they end up 'splitting off', they go back and forth in a conflicted and neurotic , often times exaggerated oscillation instead of a healthy integration, feeling comfortable in neither, and alien in both.

The Official Attire of the Islamic Revolution and Republic of Iran and its Intellectual Defenders: the dress code of Bohemian Slacker Ass Doctoral Students of the Sorbonne from the 1970s and the Petty Criminals of Iran's First Emerging Urban Ghettoes!

I nominate Quentin Tarantino to do the movie of the Iranian Islamic Revolution of '79 Laughing He is the only one who can get the hallucinatory, bloody insanity of it all right. He would get the '70s outfits just right, with outrageous blood and gore, campy and cheesy insanity, brutal mercenaries and assassins/terrorists posing like action movie heroes with dark sunglasses and cigarets armed to the teeth, sadistic criminals with a taste for blood and large daggers, lunatic characters spewing off quasi deep comical messianic soliliquies that are hilarious, 10 references a minute to cheesy pop cultural artifacts of the era, a crazy blend of western and eastern kitsch, and deep dark samurai like Mullah$ floating around as overlords in flowing robes inspiring much awe, fear, worship, ennui and mystery while waving their Uzzis. The whole thing should be set to Pink Floyd's "The Wall" and Donna Summers' "Love to Love You Baby". I really look forward to seeing what he will do with lighting and color for the scenes of prophet Khomeini sitting under a quasi biblical apple tree stagemanaged by the French in the suburbs of Paris. Laughing

The above is a sample of the insanity from which the horror show of the last 25 years emerged out of! Needless to say, the idiot intellectuals found all of this is as fabulous, and the harbinger of a new miraculous age for Iran! Its beyond ironic, we need a new word for this.

A perfect example of the idiocy and the aping ways of these idiot intellectuals can be found in their clothing, which became the official attire of the IRI and forced clothing for all men, as defined by this group. They came up with another version for the women! First the men, since the majority of the idiot intellectuals who ushered in this h.e.l.l. on earth alongside the murderous Mullah$ were men who forced everyone else to dress like them!

The idiot intellectuals of '79, and the non clergy officials of the IRI, all walked around unshaven sporting 5 o'clock shadows, wearing a western suit (jacket and slacks), western shirt with the collar left open, and no tie. And this was supposed to be a rejection of westernisation Question Rolling Eyes Well, it was presented as a rejection of westernisation, to a nation that was beaten into accepting it!

As we all know, a western suit with no tie was not the traditional attire of Iranian men for centuries. What these guys were wearing was the official outfit of slacker ass Sorbonne doctoral candidates in the 1960s and 1970s who walked around unshaven on most days, in rumpled up old suits bought in second hand stores and flea markets of Paris and wore no ties in a prerequisite bohemian rebel yell of a doctoral student (note: undergrads wore sweators and later jeans, LOL). Bani Sadr and the rest of the idiot intellectuals of course adopted this attire while aping western intellectuals. As soon as they took over, they decided ties were western and Taghooti (idol worshipping), but western jackets and shirts were traditional and Islamic, so they flogged the men of the country into aping their attire, and made it the law of the land. Needless to say, given the phallic like vertical symbolism of a tie, the forced removal of ties in retrospect became a symbolic national castration of all iranian males. Ties, or 'keravat', also emblamized modernity, education, accomplishment and the ability of men to operate in the modern world, that too was also cut off!

In an intersting twist of fate, of course the same outfit was also favored by the criminal and hoodlum class of Iran's first emerging urban ghettoes. This group and their outfits were called "chaghookesh" (a criminal who uses a knife) and "La'at" (hoodlum). Since these criminals were hired as mercenaries for the assorted Mullah$ and their idiot intellectual cheerleaders as muscle for the revolution and the subsequent genocidal govt. so it all fit in quite neatly as the official uniform of the new govt. and nation.

Imam Khomeini, whose claimed prophethood was fully verified by these same idiot intellectuals to a hapless nation that didn't know any better, announced that all unshaven men were westernized and unIslamic. Hmm, then all those unshaven men in Persian Miniatures from over 10 centuries were what? Westenized? And if so, then given that it was practiced in the land for over a millenia, wouldn't it in essence then have become the tradition of the land, Duh? But the idiot intellectuals were fond of their Sorbonne slacker ass doctoral student days and proud of their Bohemian unshaven look, and frankly didn't want to be bothered with shaving everyday, so they claimed that the half beard, mostly a result of infrequent shaving as practiced by petty thieves, the unemployed, and Bohemian slacker ass doctoral students in Paris, was the correct tradition for all Iranian men, and the clergy would continue to wear their long goat like beards Laughing So they beat all men into submission, in their enlightened intellectual way, for the good of all Iranian males!

After many years of running the govt. of the genocidal Islamic Republic of Iran in the attire of Bohemain French doctoral students, and criminals from Irans' first urban ghettoes, the by now establishment idiot intellectuals and Islamists were told by their western intellectual groupies, to embrace more traditionalist aspects of their indiginous culture in a newer more trendy and fashionable multicultural sort of a way. So the collar of the western shirts were thrown out, to embrace the buttoned up, collarless shirt of traditional Iranian shirts. The western suit and half beards of doctoral students and criminals remained in a sign of the bigger size of theivary, and the new powerful international terrorist bohemianism that best exmplified the maturing genocidal Islamic Republic of Iran!

Today, the new generation of I$slami$t Intellecutal$ Inc., since they have now trademark registered their western intellectual aping Bohemianism after a taste of the mega Billion$ Laughing , like Lahiji (Ayatollah Ebadi's intellctual coach), are preaching to turn Iran into the Japan of the Islamic world. Akheh yekee peydah nemeesheh be een khar e begeh: Baba Joon, the Japanese wear the best suits and ties to work, their women don't wear kimonos to work, and they leave their traditional customs and beliefs outside of govt. and business, and of course the most important part of it: they are a secular and democratic Constitutional Monarchy. Cool

But noooooo, just like the idiot intellctuals of '79 who promised something even better than democracy called an Islamic Republic and a theocracy, today the new crop of idiot intellectuals and Islamists is promising something even better than democracy and even Japan's progress and prosperity, called an Islamic Japan Laughing This group has their tieless suits custom made by the best tailors in London, and they have their half beards trimmed daily, and their finger nails manicured, but they still pretend to be Bohemian bad boys. What they propose is for the rest of the nation to shutup and continue to remain badbakht and behave, as they transfer all their illegal wealth from proxy governmental foundations to legitimate businesses they have overseas while completing their WMDs. After this is all done, either their regime is bulletproof, or its over at which point they and all of Iran's wealth is already gone. This in short is what they call an Islamic Japan!

The same idiot intellectuals who back in '79 destroyed a a progressive nation with foolish claims that its many accomplishments meant nothing, who lied and made up false stories about massacres of thousands, who claimed the economy and the country was in shambles and only a bloody revolution would be the answer, preach patience with the far worst dysfunctional and genocidal regime that has destoryed a nation and its people.

Today, there's a new crop of western intellectauls to ape. Iranian idiot intellectuals are aping a newer generation of western intelllectuals like Chomsky and Edward Said. When the old generation were doctoral students in Paris, they were told by their teachers that the enemy was the Bourgoisie. Like zombies in an alien invasion/body snatcher movie, the idiot intellectuals went around seeking to find and destroy the Bourgoisie, with no understanding whatsoever of what they were doing. Iran had just miraculously aquired its first middle class, after centuries of serfs/peasants serving royal feudal lords and the clergy. The Shah had created the first educated, technocratic middle class of Iran, which is a pre-requisite for democracy. But the idiot intellectuals aping their western counterparts destroyed Iran's middle class as the Bourgoisie enemy, only to replace it today with the ruling Mullah Feudal oligarchy and the mafia pashas, the working poor, and the beyond the poor. So, be on the lookout for the new generation aping the new western intellectuals! An economy without a middle class is just crony capitalism, which is what Iran's idiot intellectuals created with the murderous Mullah$!

It can be funny, but you could just as easily cry ....

And the Attire of Women According to the Idiot Intellectuals and their Murderous Mullah Collaborators?!:

In a land were women had worn beautiful flowing fabrics in the world's most vibrant and saturated colors for thousands of years, the black shroud uniform of the wives of the Mullahs and feudal land lords became the official attire of all the women, thanks to these same idiot intellectuals and their murderous Mullah collaborators. In a land where vibrant colors defined all art, architecture, tapestry, fabrics, clothing and carpets they banned color Rolling Eyes and forced all women through beatings, stabbings, razor cuttings, acid burnings and shootings into the black shroud chador that the wives of the clergy in Qom wore.

Idiot intellectuals like Bani Sadr and Bazargan announced that women's heads emanated rays that were dangerous to men, so they all had to cover their hairs. And much of the JM leadership like Sahabi (the gnostic lunatic), Sanjabi and Frouhar lined up for Photo Ops kissing Khomeini's hands, in a celebration of this new insanity and an expression of their solidarity with the new theocracy, which they served, and its insane new rules being inacted as the laws of the land!

Idiot intellectuals paid by the Mullah$ wrote books in French and English claiming that the black shroud chador was the traditional attire of all Iranian women. Mazandarani women working in the rice field never wore it and Qashqai women herding sheep never wore it, but the 'kept' wives of the clergy and feudal lords who didn't have to work wore it. So they put the women in black shrouds, and they still won't allow women to wear red, the single most traditional color for Iranian female tribal wear in the cities (tribal women out of the reach of the Islamist fascists and their idiot intellectual guides, and murderous Mullah masters still wear it as they have for centuries) !

They are SCUM! Sadistic, Ugly, Crazy Mullah$ and their idiot intellectual collaborators!

Iran's Brave and Brilliant Intellectuals!

Unfortunately, the likes of Bani Sadr, Bazargan, Sahabi, Sanjabi, Frouhar, much of Jebhe Melli, Toudeh party, Melli Mazhabis and various other Republican Groups have given intellectuals a bad name in Iran. There were many intellectuals who did not side with Khomeini or promote a theocracy like Bakhtiar, Amuzegar even JM's Sadighi, alongside many others, these were mostly Constitutional Monarchists, which is why today, I am a Consitutional Monarchist! Thosuands of brave and patriotic intellectual men and women, professors, scholars, teachers, students, writers, artists, musicians etc. were all either killed, kicked out of univerisities, schools or their jobs for bravely standing up in opposition to Khomeini and his beastly theocracy.

Needless to say, Khomeini killed more in his first 3 months than the Shah had during his whole reign. According to Amnesty International estimates, 25,000 people were killed by the IRI between 1979-1982 (most believe this estimate to be on the low side). Thousands of intellectuals were killed, because their names were supplied for a genocide list by the 'idiot' intellectual collaborators of the murderous Mullah$ who were trying to eliminate their competition!

So not all of Iran's intellectuals were like the idiot intellecutals who ushered in the Islamic Revolution, and then supplied the Murderous Mullah$ with 'purge' lists in a bid to eliminate their political and intellectual rivals! There were many good, brave, decent and brilliant scholars who did not collaborate with Khomeini and his intellectual ass kissers. Intellectuals who stood up for what was right, spoke the truth at great cost to themselves and their families and were then killed brutally or forced into destitution and exile.

It is just as important to remember them, learn about them and celebrate them, as it is important to look at the folly, insanity, lunacy and greed of the idiot intellectuals!

In closing:

Many suggest that we should forget about this stuff and let it go. Many repeat that these were all good people who made some mistakes.

Rolling Eyes

Well, when I survey the deaths of hundreds of thousands, the exile of millions, the torture and maiming of millions, the destroyed lives of millions, the unparralleled scope of human tragedy and suffering in Iran for the last 25 years, and the toal destruction of the nation thanks to these supposed 'good', well intentioned people who meant well and were mistaken ... all I gotta say is: I suppose Hitler and the Nazis were also 'good', idealistic and well intentioned people who were trying to do the best for their country and their people too, except for of course they made some mistakes!

The argument of forgive and forget before there has been a chance to conduct a full inventory and survey of the disaster, an opportunity to expose all the mistakes and wrongdoings, and for the full expression of all the pain and anger is simply wrong! Forgetting and forgiving doesn't come from denial, it comes from acceptance, and that requries discussion and getting it out in the open! Once its out, and its been examined, discussed, and talked about by all, then you get acceptance, forget and forgive and move on, not before! So lets not put the cart before the horse, cuz thats not going anywhere!

First you gotta get a real inventory of all the good and bad that they did. Shutting off dicussions about the bad that they did, is not the way. After its all out in the open, and the anger and pain has been epxressed, then you make your final judgements, forgive and forget and move on! Not before!

So all I gotta say to the people claiming we shouldn't talk about this sort of thing, because these were good people who were mistaken is:

"Get these so called 'good' and 'mistaken' people the f.u.c.k. away from me and my people, they are deadly! "

Hmm you may be right, another accomplishment for the Islamic H.e.l.l. on Earth Republic of Iran!

Thats not all, did you know that most of the IRI's ambassadors barely have a high school education? Many don't even speak English. Their first ambassadors were people like the guy who made Khomeini tea, and the guy who was a chagookesh guard for Rafsanjani etc. Today, they're no better, most are uneducated and not at all representative of the Iranian people. Then you wonder, how can uneducated people, who are relatives of Mullah$, best represent Iran's interest's in today's competative world and marketplace?

I wrote this on Daneshjoo to Faramarz, a real liar

Faramarz wrote

It is not suprising to see so much hatred of intellectuals on this forum. Tyrants everywhere target intellectuals. The Nazis did. So did Khomeini and his followers

I understand your body starts shaking when we criticise leftists and other republicans (jebhe zedde melli) claiming to be intellectuals. Because this is the only way at which you perhaps can come to power.
Iran has 50 million youth and they all know you Jebhe zedde melli and company created this revolution and all their sufferings the last 25 years and they hate Jebhe zedde melli and leftists.

By claiming you are roshanfekr, intellectual, doctor, university master etc you are trying to decieve the people like they did 25 years ago when saying that Khomeinis picture was in the moon. This in the last effort to come to power.

Dorood bar mossadegh but shame on jebhe zedde melli and all other dictatorial republic supporters

Thank you for this remarkable article Spenta. Consider the following analogy if you will. An health expert recommends that people jog five miles, five times a week, but neglects to mention that his prescription is not meant for those with heart conditions. Now imagine some people with heart problems following the advice and dying as a result. The question is, who is to be blamed? Certainly the expert to some extent, given his position and knowing the dangers, but what about those unfortunate joggers? What can we tell about those joggers? I can think of two scenarios: First, although they knew they had weak hearts, they were nevertheless incited by the words of an expert in matters of health. Second, it is quiet possible that they did not know of their own conditions in the first place. You touch upon both scenarios in the case of our so-called intellectuals, but the implications there are far more interesting and revealing.

Blindly following just any intellectual or leader, be he Sartre or Khomeini, corresponds to the first scenario, suggesting our “intellectuals” or “revolutionaries” (and which revolutionary does not fancy himself/herself an intellectual?) had little convictions of their own. After all, is it possible for a follower of say Marx to also follow Khomeini? In the case of the second scenario, our intellectuals may indeed have had little clue about their own and Iran’s particular and specific historical situation. Too busy parading themselves as followers of either Marx or Mossadegh, they knew next no nothing about Iran and Her history. In either scenario they had no sense of nationalism.

The problem with the above analogy, however, is that it lacks a model corresponding with the idea that our “intellectuals” knew perfectly well what they were doing, one to which I personally subscribe. A jogger runs for a healthier life, not to commit suicide. A number of our “revolutionaries” (read Jebhe Melli) on the other hand, served and continue to serve those who wish Iran’s destruction. By destruction I have in mind everything from the colonial exploitation of Iran, the annexation of Iranian territory, its breakup into little “ethnic” republics, etc.

They should not be excused on the basis that they were ignorant. If they were ignorant then, they’ve had 25 years to express their regrets. Regrets!!! Listen to what they say today; they have not changed. For their mission has remained the same.

Spenta, please consider a bit of revision in the language ("gotta" to "have to", etc.) and send it to Iranianvoice. I really enjoyed its content.

Dear IB,
Aziz, I did not engage in the long argument with him here for my own amusement. Everything you need to know about him is revealed there.

As usual, I had not tried to write an article, but was going for another one of my stream of consciousness dumpathons. I usually do that when I really need to share and get something off my chest. I'm afraid that I am no Proust, my stream of consciousness spiels need massive editing before you can get a decent article out of them. And alot more than just 'gotta' needs to change, altho I'd hate to see 'slacker ass' go Laughing

I don't have alot of time now, but please feel free to edit the above and send it to wherever.

In fact I give permission to Khorshid or any other Mullah hater on this board to take anything that I have written and edit them into article form and submit them wherever they want.
