|Thank you for defending the Persian Gulf
As you may well know, the National Geographic Society has recently begun using an unrecognized name for the Always and Forever, Persian Gulf. In addition, the National Geographic Society has printed illegitimate names for the Persian Gulf islands and also claims that the islands in question are being occupied by Iran, thereby condoning UAE claims of ownership over them.
The Marze Por Gohar Party would like to take this opportunity to express our appreciation for your efforts along with other 200,000 Iranians that have registered their protest via mail, telephone or mail, in defending the Persian Gulf and Iranian history, culture, and national interests. It is rather disheartening that the Islamic Republic has for so long failed to preserve Iranís national interest that Arabs are now openly attacking Iranian history and culture without fear of reprisal. We should take notice that the individual responsible that initiated the occupation of Iran by the Islamic Republic, namely Khomenei, used the term Islamic Gulf to reference the Always and Forever, Persian Gulf, in order to further Arabize Iran.
We cannot rest until the National Geographic fulfills the four points below.
1) A recall process must be initiated by the National Geographic Society to collect all the flawed atlases.
2) The National Geographic Society must correct all errors pertaining to Iran on its atlases, websites and publications.
3) The National Geographic Society must issue a public letter of apology to the people of Iran.
4) The president of the National Geographic Society must resign due to the fact that he is ultimately responsible for these inexcusable and error prone policies regarding Iran.
We look forward to the continuation of efforts in defending the Persian Gulf.
