|
|
Irans opposition appears, on its surface, to be active and effective.
In reality, it lacks the most basic necessity for a mass-movement to succeed: an indigenous appeal to Iran's people.
A recurring theme among the opposition movement is that Iran must reign in religion itself. It is not sufficient to curtail the power of the mullah's. The mullah's are not simply powerful because they are in the government: they are also powerful because they are religious leaders.
Iran is an overwhelmingly religious country. If you tally the number of pilgrims to Mashhad, you see far more impressive numbers than any student demonstration ever organized by the opposition.
Figures from the student movement have actually given television interviews, expressing the view that they want to build a different Iran: an Iran where religion would be a personal matter, and the Islamic "church" aka the Mullah's, would have no say in people's personal lives.
How likely is that idea to become popular in Iran, any time soon? |

The opposition groups outside, have been torn apart by constant propaganda from IRI intelligence service and those on their payroll worldwide.
The are currently fighting back and trying to unite on common grounds, this is what they all agree upon:
* A Secular Democratic Free Iran
* Regard for the present borders and Lion&Sun flag of Iran.
the 99.9% majority inside Iran also believe in a Secular Free Iran.
Even many of the religious men and clerics today condemn the past 25 years of Theocratic Rule as the main cause of weakening Islamic belief amongst the people of Iran and specially the youth!
SEPERATION OF RELIGION FROM POLITICS IS INFACT ON TOP OF IRANIANS' WISH LIST FOR THE FUTURE. _________________ Paayande Iran |
