My Iranian of today and for ever is my dearest father Col. Rahim Pournourbakhsh who passed away today [August 3, 2003], in the prison of the IRI regime after 25 years of torture, insult, injury and abuse.
May you rest in peace Baba! I was not able to see you in that long period of time and the mullahs don't allow me to even attend your funeral, but I will see you again.
Baba I close my eyes and I see you. Baba I can smell you. Baba I love you. I miss your firm and loving hugs. I knew that this day was going to come, but not this soon.
Death to your captors, death to mullahs, death to their stupid revolution. Death to the Pahlavis and their gang for forgetting you in Iran like they did 65,000,000 others. You wore your uniform with pride and you served well. You deserved better, but you never asked for more. I will see you again Baba.

We all mourn with you. He will be avenged. And, indeed, death to the mullahs. |

I am also sorry.
However, why do you say 'Death to the Shah'?
are not the mullahs which imprisoned your father?
Aren't the MKO,communists, socialists those who brought Khomenei into power that have arrested your father?
Why don't you blame on those people instead of blaming the shah?
Don't you think that if that revolution was not did , your father was not arrested? _________________ Referendum AFTER Regime Change

Stefania - I must say I do not know who Col. Rahim Pournourbakhsh was, however I can tell you that the reason many Iranians are upset with the Pahlavis was because of the great potential that failed to materialize.. For example - MOSSADEQ had always given advice to the Shah telling him to not be anything more than a symbol - a symbol with no power.. MOSSADEQ said these things and rightly so because if the Shah had no power and was merely a symbol - then in time of turmoil the Shah symbol and position would not be threatened.. Of course this advice was not listened to and the Shah took absolute power - This created an open target for fanatics and others externally to attack!
Anyhow - prior to the Islamic Regime everything was MUCH MUCH better - and this is obvious.. These fanatics could have been prevented if smarter choices had been made - but looking to the past like this is not beneficial.. we must band together and secure victory in this lifetime!!! _________________ free |

Dear,i swear by God that i am not pro-Shah.
I'm not a fan of the late Shah,he was a model for democracy..
but i think that regim was reformable, while this is not
I admire this young Reza Pahlavi, he is calling for a free referendum and he is serious..
What i am disturbed of is seeing ( in Daneshjoo website) the people are unite, they keep on insulting each others!!?
I also noted that there are some people which continuelly spend their tim there insulting, blaming and attacking everyone except the mullahs and no any word of support for the students in Iran.
There is an Iranian guy from Shiraz who writes on the discussion board there,i guess you know him,he is Reza R.
He was very disturbed by the lack of words of support for the people inside Iran..
He also said that they want unity but not the MKO..
However,i saw there is unity for exemple among the cubans ( social-democrats,liberal-democrats,christian democrats, greens) all of them,in exile or in cuba, are very much united.
Why doesnt this happen in regard to Iran?? _________________ Referendum AFTER Regime Change

You are right - it was reformable - but people make mistakes I guess!
About the other message board - I have noticed the same thing - on many boards, not exclusively Daneshjoo. You have to remember, because it is a big site, it becomes targeted by those who would like to disrupt, distract, and cause problems for quality discussion about the movement. You can be sure that we keep a close eye on everything here - and luckily it is not overly publicized like the rest of the sites. However, if you would like - definitely recruit those who you feel are really good and bring them on over for some true discussion!!!!
Btw, your site is looking pretty good - lots of links which is good! Also, are you friends with any Italian bloggers - we need to get the word out to the Italian community!!!!

You know, i never believed in the utopias.
however, i dream a world where no one man is oppressed by a tyrant .
This is an utopia, but i think it's the best utopia.
and i think that the free people of the world should join to try to promotw democracy and help the unheard peoples.
new NGOs should be formed .
The task of these NGOs should be the promotion of the democracy and freedom.
Let me tell you that i dont trust the UN .
i look at them as an useless organization.
I lost the attraction towards this UN since its wrong policies on the third world, against the dictators, the resolution of the armed conflicts in Africa, Kosovo, Bosnia,etc..
Above all, the decision of giving Lybia the role of leader of the UN Human Rights Commission is really shameful-
In fact, there are the first signals of this decision:
the expulsion of the pro-free press organization Reporters without Borders , on decision of Lybia and Cuba.
I want to tell you, you can send as many petitions as you want to the U.N., but let me tell you that, seen the people who resides there,it would be difficoult for it to take a strong decision against a regime, the Islamic regime, which is friend at Lybia and Cuba..
Thank you for the nice word,'baby'. _________________ Referendum AFTER Regime Change

I don't think Molotov - is the son of the Colonel - or am I wrong? It seemed as though it was rather a letter he reposted which was written by the Colonel's son..
Molotov, am I wrong - or just screwed up By the way, how's Canada??
