Obama First 100 Days, Iran Policy Failures: Ignoring Human Rights, Free Society & Secular Democracy...
FREE Iran Activists are not happy with President Obama performance regarding Iran, Human Rights and President Obama has not delivered anything significant in this area ...

It is true Rome wasn't built in 100 days, however his appeasement policy towards Islamists invaders and occupiers of Iran by ignoring Human Rights voilations is considered as wrong signal. Based on past 100 days president Obama will fail regarding FREE Iran issues as President Bush failed too … unless he changes his direction and moves towards our demands ...

As a simple example Obama didn't call for the release of the tens of thousands of political prisoners, Stop Torture and dissidents Executions in Iran ....

The following open letter in Persian says it all ...

Decision 2008 Priorities : U.S. Foreign and Energy Policy General Common Sense Expectations and Demands

We are the citizens of the United States of America who represent the majority of the American people who strongly adhere to the following beliefs:

1) We believe in the concept of complete secularism in government, which generally means complete separation of the State from religion, or any ideology or philosophy which can be interpreted as religious (e. g. Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islamism, Judaism, etc., or extreme ideologies such as Fascism or Communism). Secularism can be considered as common sense versus Ideology.

2) Democracy without secularism and secular parties cannot survive and continue a tradition of freedom of choice when a non-secular regime comes to power, as demonstrated by the Nazi party in Germany, the Khomeinist regime in Iran, and more recently by the Hamas Party in Palestine. This principle has been proven historically many times and in many countries.

3) When there is religious intervention in the affairs of the public and the State, then it become necessary to make public the fact that a religion or its precepts have influenced governmental institutions. It becomes a duty of citizens, in the interests of freedom, to work to remove that religious influence, and restore secular governance.

We believe that, in this century, real change starts with breakthroughs in less expensive and environmentally less-harmful energy sources such as hydrogen fuels, solar power, wind power, and geo-thermal energy, representing possibly safer alternatives to fossil fuels. The greatest changes for the better will be delivered by the world’s brilliant engineering minds, not politicians (Democrats or Republicans) who, for the past 40 years, have virtually ignored support for research in alternative sources of energy.

We recommend that support for qualified candidates for public office be based on past good deeds and public service, independent of political party affiliation or pre-assigned tags of left, center, right, liberal or conservative.

Our future expectations of policy makers and leaders with regard to foreign policy are defined by a new set of criteria based on test cases designed to be able to measure success and failure more objectively. Our recommended test cases and criteria are based on the vision of the founding fathers of the United States of America and those philosophies that informed them, including the works of Cyrus the Great, and Plato. We believe that this ancient and enduring spirit of freedom was embodied in the U.S. Constitution, and includes the following elements:

1- The implementation of a secular democracy
2- The implementation of enduring and inalienable Human/Women’s Rights
3- The implementation of a Free and Responsible Society
4- The promulgation of freedom and human rights at global level
5- The intent to gather moral and international support for the rejection of all religiously-based, gender-biased, racially-biased or apartheid, and ideologically extreme governments, realizing that these governments are a main source of creating fearful societies and terrorism in the world.

Independently of who is chosen for public office in the elections of 2008, we resolve to remain vigilant, and to continue to pressure elected officials to move in the aforementioned directions, to help assure a better future for all freedom-loving, secularist peoples. We will continue to make use of any communication media available to us in order to further this cause. The struggle toward a better future will not end with any one election, and we will always remember that only Truth, Honesty, and Integrity have survived, and will survive, the test of time and history.

Quick Overview of the Vision of Cyrus the Great:
Cyrus the Great, the father of first Human Rights declaration over 2500 years ago, advocated the abolition of slavery and ethnic or racial discrimination, freedom to choose one's place of residence, freedom of religious belief, and the establishment of peace among nations. Such ideas are still alive and are clearly esteemed by all those who believe in human dignity and human rights. The Persians regarded Cyrus The Great as The Father, the Babylonians regarded him as The Liberator, the Greeks called him the Law-Giver, and the Jews called him the Anointed of the Lord. Prof. Richard Frye of Harvard University is quoted as saying, “…Surely the concept of One World, and the fusion of peoples and cultures in one 'Oecumen', was one of [Cyrus the Great’s] important legacies”. Therefore, Cyrus the Great is considered to be one of the greatest political leaders and liberators of all time. October 29th has been designated as the international day of Cyrus the Great, king of Persia , who declared the first charter of human rights in the world, which is also known as the ‘Cyrus Cylinder’.

The Vision of the American Founding Fathers:
The founding fathers -- George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, John Adams -- are extraordinarily impressive revolutionary figures, with unique educational influences. Recent research by historians has found that Cyrus The Great’s Book by Xenophon, and ‘The Prince’ by Machiavelli, were required reading among the American Revolutionary Founding Fathers. Personal copies of these books owned by Founding Fathers exist in Library of Congress. The drafting of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution was, however, more influenced by Cyrus The Great’s leadership and vision than Machiavelli. Cyrus The Great’s leadership vision is based on the ideas of a free society, human rights, sound moral values and a high code of ethics, versus the Machiavellian vision based on a fearful society, with perhaps immoral and unethical means advocated in order to control society. The American Founding Fathers were not essentially Machiavellian, and that is why they were able to create a great foundation upon which to build a nation.

We should try to find an answer to the following question: How could the founding fathers have achieved so much in such a short period of time, while current generations seemingly cannot achieve nearly as much, although endowed with far superior technological power and knowledge?

To safeguard our freedoms, we always remember James Madison’s famous statement: "If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself [italics ours]. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government; but experience has taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary precautions.” The Federalist No. 51 (James Madison).

Release Behrooz Javid Tehrani

Condemn the suspicious deaths of political prisoners
in Islamic Republic of iran's jails!

Just imagine ten years, twenty years, and a lifetime of flogging, torture and solitary confinement instead of kind, gentle and heartfelt touch of your beloved ones.
Having been deprived of family’s and friends’ loving and caring is a psychological torture in itself and yet, imagine adding physical torture to it. This would make life unbearable even for one day.
It would be unimaginable to even contemplate such destiny for a human being and yet, this is the fate of all those locked up in Islamic Republic of Iran’s medieval jails as “Political Prisoners”.

Inside the Islamic Republic’s state controlled jails, prisoners are subjected to the most barbaric and inhumane maltreatments; Amputation of parts of body, gauging of the eyes, flogging, stoning to death and finally, execution. Human life is basically worthless through the eyes of the rulers of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Recently, this inhumane and barbaric regime has found the audacity to embark on inflicting suspicious crimes on the defenceless political prisoners, particularly those held in the horrific and notorious “Evin” and “Gohardasht” prisons.
In the recent months, two political prisoners were murdered inconspicuously at these prisons. No prison authority has yet been held responsible for either of these crimes.
“Amir Heshmat Saran”, a political prisoner, and “Omidreza Mir Sayaffi”, a weblog author are two of such recent victims who lost their lives under extremely suspicious circumstances in Islamic Republic’s jails.

Behrooz Javid Tehrani is a young Iranian student Human Rights activist who’s been held captive in Islamic Republic’s prisons for over ten years, while enduring daily psychological and physical torture. Nevertheless, he has remained defiant and has not given up resistance.
Behrooz has spent many months in solitary confinement and has endured the most brutal forms of medieval torture at the notorious “Evin” prison. Two years ago he was transferred to “Gohardasht” which according to some political inmates, is reputed for being “The end of the ROAD”!
Here at “Gohardasht” he has been held in “Section 1” which is designated for solitary confinements and inflicting brutal torture.

Below, we read his last letter to the “Outside World” which was smuggled out covertly. In his letter, he states that he’s been receiving death threats by his captors and that his life is in danger.
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
“Here, the ghastly executioners have exceeded all inhumane boundaries. I have no other alternative but to resort to hunger strike and seek your support to find a safe haven for me.
Today, 6 April 2009, when my sister came to visit me, the barbaric behaviour of my jailers towards me and my sister in the visitors’ hall annihilated my patience. They not only subjected me to the most disgraceful and humiliating type of body search and inspection, and even confiscated the smallest piece of paper and a phone number I was carrying, but they also did worse than that to my sister. The visitor’s hall’s wardens, Misters Islamic, Ahmadi and Khosravi, and Mrs. Shahbazi behaved most callously towards me and my family who had only come to visit me. They only granted us 3 minutes just to be awkward with us. My sister had tried for a month to be given the chance to visit me and had travelled from Tehran to Karaj. And yet they only gave us 3 minutes to talk. Our objections to their behaviour only caused more violence towards us. This kind of behaviour was of course contrived by the management and higher authorities of “Gohardasht” prison.
The day Amir Heshmat Saran died (Murdered) under extremely suspicious circumstances, the prison authorities instructed us to keep quiet about it and not to mention anything to anyone. As everyone knows, we did quite the opposite and exposed the circumstances under which Amir Heshmat lost his life.
For sometime now, no one in this prison has been following up my ill health. My health has been deteriorating due to the inflicted tortures by the “Ministry for Security”. The prison clinic at “Rajayee Shahr” prison refuses to refer me to a civilian hospital as I need to have a M.R.I. scan done to diagnose my illnesses. I have been suffering from the loss of 50% of my vision due to blows to the back of my head which has partially damaged the rear side of my brain.
Today, in my family’s presence, the head warden threatened me: “You counter revolutionary idiot, you will soon join your friend Saran”!
Dear compatriots, I have been captive for over ten years as a political prisoner; since the students’ uprising on 9 July 1998. Have I any option other than starting a hunger strike?

Behrooz Javid Tehrani
The last survivor of 9 July students’ uprising in Rajayee Shahr prison
6 April 2009”
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Remembering the “Serial murders” of the political prisoners within Iran’s jails, we the undersigned hereby express our deepest concerns regarding Behrooz Javid Tehrani’s situation and demand his immediate unconditional release. Behrooz is in desperate need of medical attention and needs to return to his family.
Torture and execution should not be the reward for a Human Rights activist.
By signing this petition, we show our sincere appreciation of what he has endured for the past ten years and show our solidarity with him until the moment he is released.
We also demand the inspection of Iran’s prisons by an international envoy under the supervision of the United Nations and the Human Rights Watch. In particular, the situation at “Section 1” of Gohardasht and “Section 209” of Evin prisons need a close and thorough investigation by meeting the prisoners whose names shall be disclosed by us. We demand a one to one and private interview with these prisoners by the delegation.
The violation of Human Rights has been practised in Iran for over 30 years and we hereby express our deepest concerns regarding this, in particular the recent life threatening situation which all political prisoners in Iran are faced with.
The responsibility for any criminal act against the honourable political prisoners in Iran lies with the Clero-Fascist regime of the Islamic Republic.
sincerely

Sincerely,

FREE Iran Activistchat is demanding the following Prerequisite Conditions for Any Talks Between USA Officials, G8 and Mullahs in Iran 1) All political prisoners in Iran must be released NOW. And UN must send big team of Human Rights observers to monitor all Iran’s prisons 7*24 … 2) Women Rights must be respected... 3) All restrictions on Internet must be removed, free press and public protest must be allowed and guaranteed… The connection Andrei Sakharov (1921-1989) saw between the violation of human rights and international violence has become increasingly recognized. Scholars find that nations with broad and solid political rights (that is, democracies) have rarely if ever warred on one another. But repression at home often leads to conflict abroad. See this essay (S. Weart) and this Democratic Peace site (R.J. Rummel). President Obama do you hear us?

WASHINGTON (AFP) – US President Barack Obama said Friday his administration was "especially concerned" about the detention of two US journalists in North Korea and one in Iran.

"We are... especially concerned about the citizens from our own country currently under detention abroad: individuals such as Roxana Saberi in Iran, and Euna Lee and Laura Ling in North Korea," Obama said in a statement marking World Press Freedom Day on May 3.

He also said he was using the occasion to "sound the alarm about the growing number of journalists silenced by death or jail as they attempt to bring daily news to the public."

Bribery, a form of pecuniary corruption, is an act implying money or gift given that alters the behaviour of the recipient. Bribery constitutes a crime and is defined by Black's Law Dictionary as the offering, giving, receiving, or soliciting of any item of value to influence the actions of an official or other person in discharge of a public or legal duty. The bribe is the gift bestowed to influence the recipient's conduct. It may be any money, good, right in action, property, preferment, privilege, emolument, object of value, advantage, or merely a promise or undertaking to induce or influence the action, vote, or influence of a person in an official or public capacity.

One must be careful of differing social and cultural norms when examining bribery. Expectations of when a monetary transaction is appropriate can differ from place to place. Tipping, for example, is considered bribery in some societies, while in others the two concepts may not be interchangeable. In Spanish, bribes are referred to as "mordida" (literally, "bite"), in Arab countries they are Backshish or Bakshish. However, Bakshish is more akin to tipping and is socially

Is speaking fee to former US officials considered as legal way that politicians are paid bribes by corrupt Arabs governments?

Former president rakes in millions in speaking fees worldwide
By Robert Yoon

Wednesday, June 14, 2006; Posted: 11:03 p.m. EDT (03:03 GMT)

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Former President Bill Clinton traveled the globe in 2005 giving speeches that earned him $7.5 million, according to financial disclosure documents his wife, Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, is required to file annually.

The Senate released financial disclosure statements Wednesday.

Clinton's speaking fees mark an almost nine-fold increase from the $875,000 he earned in 2004, when he spent much of the year writing and promoting his memoirs and later recuperating for several months from heart bypass surgery.

He earned $9.5 million in speaking fees in 2002.

It is not unusual for former presidents to command millions of dollars in speaking fees after leaving office.

Ronald Reagan made millions for speeches in Asia and Europe shortly after he left office and George H.W. Bush remains active on the speaking circuit today.

Source: http://www.defence.pk/forums/world-affairs/16447-bill-clinton-reaped-500-000-single-speech-kuwait.html

While his accounts are being scrutinized by Obama’s search committee, a Kuwaiti report indicates Bill Clinton reaped $500,000 for a single speech there Sunday.

The National Bank of Kuwait (NBK) has paid $500,000 to Bill Clinton for a single lecture he delivered in Kuwait City on Sunday on his assessment of Barack Obama’s foreign and economic policies. It was delivered the day after the Kuwaiti stock market resumed trading after it was suspended by order of a Kuwaiti court on Thursday to avoid a total collapse.

Without mentioning reports that Clinton’s finances were coming under close scrutiny as his wife, Hillary Clinton, is being vetted for the job of secretary of state, the Arab-language Kuwaiti newspaper Awan published a front-page story under the headline “Clinton’s lecture at NBK cost $500,000.”

$500,000 would be a high fee, even for Bill Clinton. In 2006 he averaged almost a speech a day, at an average of about $140,000 a speech.

TALKING to Islamists is the new order of the day in Washington and London. The Obama administration wants a dialogue with Iran, and the British Foreign Office has decided to reopen diplomatic contacts with Hezbollah, the Shiite militant group based here.

But for several years, small groups of Western diplomats have made quiet trips to Beirut for confidential sessions with members of Hamas, Hezbollah and other Islamist groups they did not want to be seen talking to. In hotel conference rooms, they would warily shake hands, then spend hours listening and hashing out accusations of terrorism on one side and imperial arrogance on the other.

The organizer of these back-door encounters is Alastair Crooke, a quiet, sandy-haired man of 59 who spent three decades working for MI6, the British secret intelligence service. He now runs an organization here called Conflicts Forum, with an unusual board of advisers that includes former spies, diplomats and peace activists.

We just don't get it. The Left in America is screaming to high heaven that the mess we are in in Iraq and the war on terrorism has been caused by the right-wing and that George W. Bush, the so-called "dim-witted cowboy," has created the entire mess.

The truth is the entire nightmare can be traced back to the liberal democratic policies of the leftist Jimmy Carter, who created a firestorm that destabilized our greatest ally in the Muslim world, the shah of Iran, in favor of a religious fanatic, the ayatollah Khomeini.

Carter viewed Khomeini as more of a religious holy man in a grassroots revolution than a founding father of modern terrorism. Carter's ambassador to the UN, Andrew Young, said "Khomeini will eventually be hailed as a saint." Carter's Iranian ambassador, William Sullivan, said, "Khomeini is a Gandhi-like figure." Carter adviser James Bill proclaimed in a Newsweek interview on February 12, 1979 that Khomeini was not a mad mujahid, but a man of "impeccable integrity and honesty."

WASHINGTON – Israeli President Shimon Peres offered a cautious endorsement of new U.S. overtures to Iran following a longer-than-expected White House meeting with President Barack Obama.

The visiting Nobel peace laureate told The Associated Press that he came away from the session Tuesday reassured about the strength of the U.S. commitment to Israel. Peres played down any potential for a split over the way forward with Iran.

In an interview before leaving Washington, Peres said that as long as the United States does not take any options off the table, it should have room to try settling differences with Iran through negotiation.

At the same time, Peres made clear that Israel considers Iran a mortal threat.

Few weeks ago I was watching a PBS documentary on Tibet, under Chinese occupation. One of the most important things they talked about, was called “Cultural genocide.” First thing Chinese did was to bring in thousands of Chinese nationals to Tibet, then they destroyed their historical sites, buildings, and temples to build apartments for the new Chinese settlers.
The young boy, who was being trained to succeed Dalai Lama, suddenly disappeared, with his whole family-probably taken to some re-education camp in China.
Chinese brought in an imposter, another young boy, to replace the kidnapped Tibetan boy. The new imposter is being trained by Chinese government!!
How does this compare to what happened in Iran in 1979? Khomenie Hendi, brought in thousands of terrorist Palestinians to Iran. The main purpose was to kill and induce fear in the general population. Then one by one, Iranian traditions were prohibited, historical sites were demolished, street names were changed to Islamic names. Above site destruction is a systematic “Cultural genocide” of Iranians in the hands of Taazi occupiers of Iran. Unfortunately, this will continue, unless we can rescue, Iran, its culture, its history from the islamic Taazi occupation; an apocalyptic genocidal death cult that has taken over Iran.

To: various political bodies as well as Congresswoman Harman's office, in addition to the media and Israeli and American embassies

Concerning the objectionable statements by California Congresswoman Jane Harman regarding the balkanization of Iran.

The Iranian community within and without Iran, through this petition, are expressing our deepest objections regarding the irresponsible statements of Democratic Representative Jane Harman in regard to her statements regarding division of the territorial integrity of Iran.

Ms. Harman on the 3rd of May 2009 during the annual conference of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) at the Washington Convention Center expressed views regarding combating the Iranian challenge that included the territorial separation of the sovereign state of Iran, in addition to indicating the use of force against Iran.

As a community and as a people we find any talk of dividing the ethnicities of our eternally united nation as unacceptable and grotesquely irresponsible.

These outrageous statements that were met with thundering applause in the midst of high level American and Israeli diplomats were and are considered to be profoundly offensive and humiliating to the sensibilities of Iranians all across the world.

We are deeply disappointed at the response to these statements, and many of us who vehemently oppose the tyrannical system of the Islamic Republic were turned off and uniformly outraged by the sentiments expressed. These suggestions about dividing up and creating Iranian on Iranian tension will be met with the utmost opposition of our community.

There are certainly profound disagreements among Iranians of all stripes against the ruling regime in Iran, but this outrageous display of ignorance about the Iranian nation and it's deep historical roots will only serve to stifle reform and rally people in the middle to support an otherwise deeply unpopular regime.

We are stunned and outraged that a US Congresswoman with such scant and distorted views about our region would have the audacity to so cavalierly speak on matters whose ramifications if put in practice could embroil the Middle East in a long and protracted conflict that will eventually drain America of it's resources and potentially spell enormous damage for America's long term interests.

Considering the profound offense that our community has taken to the words of Congresswoman Harman particularly at such a prestigious forum of ideas, we sincerely hope that she reconsider her statements and grant us a full formal apology so that these misunderstandings don't occur in the future. We will shortly be sending our petitions to various political bodies as well as Congresswoman Harman's office, in addition to the media and Israeli and American embassies.

On behalf of Iranians abroad and within Iran

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

As a student of history, I also know civilization's debt to Islam. It was Islam -- at places like Al-Azhar -- that carried the light of learning through so many centuries, paving the way for Europe's Renaissance and Enlightenment. It was innovation in Muslim communities -- (applause) -- it was innovation in Muslim communities that developed the order of algebra; our magnetic compass and tools of navigation; our mastery of pens and printing; our understanding of how disease spreads and how it can be healed. Islamic culture has given us majestic arches and soaring spires; timeless poetry and cherished music; elegant calligraphy and places of peaceful contemplation. And throughout history, Islam has demonstrated through words and deeds the possibilities of religious tolerance and racial equality. (Applause.)

Dear Mr. President Obama. I think you should go back to school & learn the social history of the world again, but this time pay more attention to the details!!! Omar Khayyam was not an Arab but an agnostic Persian!!!

It was not invented by ARABS or Moslems. In fact it was invented by Chinese who are not Arabs & are mostly followers of Buddha.

All this was done by Avicenna & Zachariah Razi, both non Arabs, but Persians.

Again, Persian Sufism. In Fact Sufis are not Arab & they are considered NON BELEIVER by Muslims.

Mr. President. I suggest that you read Quran carefully to find out that there is no talk of peace in it, not even once! It is all about killing, looting, being dishonest, recommending prostitution!!!

The Decoration was bestowed to Ambassador Hakimi by the late King Olav the 5th. It is called ( Sant Olav Cross, Commander) As you may know Ambassador Hakimi was posted to Norway as a Minister Charge des Affairs in September 1968. Ambassador Hakimi was in that post for five years and tried his best to promote the good relations, on all aspects, between Iran and Norway. Ambassador Hakimi was instrumental to abolish Visa Regulations between Iran & the Scandinavian counties.
At the end of 5 years of Ambassador Hakimi assignment in Norway Ambassador Hakimi was honored by that Decoration. Therefore Ambassador Hakimi is considered the most prominent Iranian living in Norway. We are most honoured to welcome Ambassador Hakimi to share his vision with the fellow ActivistChat members and readers.

Response To President Obama: The father of Algebra Khayyam Was Persian and Rejected Islam and May Consider As Father Of Agnostic Thought

Khayyam (May 1050 - Dec 1122) was a famous Persian poet as well as a mathematician, Scientist,Astronomer and Philosopher . The father of Algebra was an outstanding mathematician and astronomer. His work on algebra was known throughout Europe in the Middle Ages, and he also contributed to calendar reform. Khayyam measured the length of the year as 365.24219858156 days. Two comments on this result. Firstly it shows an incredible confidence to attempt to give the result to this degree of accuracy. We know now that the length of the years is changing in the sixth decimal place over a person's lifetime. Secondly it is outstandingly accurate. For comparison the length of the year at the end of the 19th century was 365.242196 days, while today it is 365.242190 days. Khayyam poems are targeting all forms of fanaticism and today we should consider him as father of battle against fanaticism . Omar Khayyam is father of Agnostic thought process of Persia.

The Miniature painting is by Iran's Celebrated Artist the late Hossein Behzad who selected topics for painting from the Khayyam poem. Today many Iranians are follower of Khayyam.

Today all Iranians deeply understand and appreciate the meaning of the following Poem by our great brilliant scientist and scholar Khayyam who told us 1000 years ago but we (Persians) have not listened and fallen into the Islamist Mullah Khomeini and European Neo-Colonialists traps in recent years, now the new Iranian generation must fight hard for the regime change, freedom and correct their path for future generation before it becomes too late. The Iranian people must send the Islamist clerics and their supporters, these cancer tumors of the Iranian society to the dustbin of history by any means and establish the true free society, and secular democracy.
The Iranian people will not see progress, security, peace, happiness and innovations unless they change this corrupt Islamist Regime and replace it with the free society, and secular democracy.

Freedom-Loving ActivistChat Vision Nov 5, 2008 wrote:
