Taking Obama For A Ride

Last Friday, US President Barack Hussein Obama broadcast a videotaped message on the occasion of Nowruz, the Iranian New Year, triggering a new debate about the future of Irano-American relations.

Sending a Nowruz message to Iranians was nothing new for an American president. The first such message was sent by Chester Arthur, the 21st President of the United States , in 1883, a tradition followed by his 22 successors.

However, Obama’s message had two new features.

First, it was addressed to both the “people and leadership” in Iran . The intention was to show that Obama acknowledges the legitimacy of the current system and rejects all ideas of supporting Iranian patriotism against Khomeinism.

The second novelty was Obama’s tone of supplication.

As Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami put it: the man is practically begging the Islamic Republic to take notice of him!

Obama’s message represents a return to President Jimmy Carter’s Iran policy. Carter, too, was prepared to flatter, cajole, and beg to win a smile from the mullahs.

Some analysts see Obama’s message as an indication of Vice President Joseph Biden’s influence in shaping the administration’s Iran policy. A supporter of dialogue with Tehran for years, Biden seems to have sidelined Secretary of State Hillary Clinton who has always espoused a tougher policy toward the mullahs.

But what are we to make of Tehran ’s response?

Some analysts claim that the Islamic Republic has already rejected Obama’s overture – end of story. Others, anxious to promote Obama as a political wizard, insist that he has already scored a hit by forcing Tehran to acknowledge that the ball is now in its court.

A closer look at Tehran ’s reaction may reveal a more complicated pirouette.

To start with, it is important that Tehran has publicly responded to the message at the highest levels, including the “Supreme Guide” Ali Khamenei and President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

In previous years, the regime either ignored the American president’s Nowruz message or commented on it through the state-owned media. This time, however, the “leadership”, directly addressed by Obama, has come out with a direct response.

The carefully prepared Khomeinist response uses a number of rhetorical techniques the mullahs have developed over centuries.

The first is “badal-zani” or inversion.

This means using an adversary’s arguments against him. In his message, Obama had invited the mullahs to change their behaviour on certain issues. In his response, Khamenei says: if you change, we will also change!

The second technique is “doon-pashi” or “spreading grains to attract the birds”. The idea is to tantalize the birds with the promise of more feed while leading them into a cage. Khamenei did that by mentioning a number of issues of interest to Obama, a signal that he might be ready to discuss them as the first step toward a broader dialogue.

The third technique is “lapushooni” which could be translated as “hiding the essential while highlighting the irrelevant.” Khamenei used this technique by talking of “insults” and ignoring his regime’s stated aim of driving the Americans out of the Middle East as a prelude to global conquest in the name of the Khomeinist version of Islam.

It is clear that Khamenei wishes to encourage Obama’s illusions that dialogue could produce positive results.

One might ask why was it that the “Supreme Guide” rejected similar offers from both Presidents Bill Clinton and George W Bush?

The Clinton offer of a “Grand Bargain” under which the US would recognize the Islamic Republic as the regional superpower was made in 2000, and rejected for two reasons.

The first was that the Clinton administration was in its lame-duck stage, and the “Supreme Guide” was not sure it could deliver on its promises.

The second reason was that, Tehran had scored major diplomatic successes in Europe , no longer felt isolated, and enjoyed relative economic health thanks to steady oil prices.

In 2006, it was the turn of the Bush administration to have the door shut in its face by Tehran .

Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice’s invitation to dialogue was rejected because Tehran felt that the US had “lost in Iraq ” and would soon retreat from the Middle East in humiliation.

More importantly, perhaps, Khamenei distrusted and feared Bush. The mullahs believed that Bush, in his heart, was committed to regime change in Iran .

Thus prospects for a “dialogue” with the United States appear better under the Obama administration than under Clinton’s or Bush’s.

One reason is the presence of Joe Biden, regarded by Tehran as “a valued friend”. However, the main reason is Tehran ’s perception of Obama as an inexperienced and naive politician who could be taken for a ride without much risk, a reincarnation of the hapless Carter.

Tehran knows that Obama desperately wants to be different from Bush and would be prepared to go far to de-Bushisize American policy.

The idea is to use Obama’s naiveté to buy the Islamic Republic another four years of insurance against its adversaries.

Khamenei’s “yes-but” answer gives Obama something to chew upon for a few months. Obama will then be invited to wait for Iran ’s presidential election and the formation of a new administration in Tehran . Khamenei may even ask Ahmadinejad not to stand again, citing “health problems”.

That would enable Khamenei to engineer a victory for Mir-Hussein Mussavi Khamenehi, a fellow Azerbaijani from the same village.

Mussavi-Khamenehi has a long history of contacts with the US and is already praised in Washington as a promising “new-old face”.

Obama-idolators would hail Mussavi-Khamenehi’s victory in the June presidential election as a great success for their “wizard”. Ahmadinejad, the genuine anti-American and Holocaust-denier, will be gone, replaced by a politician with secret contacts with Washington since 1985, (the trouble with Ahmadinejad is that he really means what he says).

These developments would fill what is left of Obama’s term. During that period, Tehran will have its bomb, will spread its influence in Iraq and Afghanistan , will strengthen its hold on Lebanon and Syria , and will go onto the offensive in the Gulf and Pakistan .

And then either Obama wins a second term and continues his confused policies or there will be a new US president, who will also see himself as the great genius who could do what all his predecessors failed to do: tame the Khomeinist beast with sweet words.

Amir Taheri’s new book “The Persian Night: Iran Under The Khomeinist Revolution” is published by Encounter Books, New York and London .

The President of the United States of America

The White House Washington, D.C. 20500

Dear President Obama,

We at the Progressive American Iranian Committee (PAIC) on behalf of the Iranian-Americans, gratefully appreciate your Nowruz greeting on the occasion of Iranian New Year, and, rightly praising the Iranian people and its heritage.

President Obama, we at the Progressive American Iranian Committee (PAIC) work to draw attention to human rights crisis situation in Iran, to save the lives of freedom loving men and women and defend them from human rights outrages. We enjoy the liberty in our adopted home and believe in, the establishment of a democratic and secular system in our mother land, Iran. In our extensive communication with Iranian-Americans and Iranians inside Iran and elsewhere, they are very much appreciative of your recognition of Iranians heritage and their contribution to the world civilization, particularly, in contrast with destructive conduct of the rulers of the Islamic regime which in the last thirty years have tried to destroy this heritage!
The tone of your message in treating the people AND the leaders of Iran who for the past thirty years have brutalized them and have undermined its heritage as one entity, has caused concern among the Iranian-Americans and people of Iran.

Mr. President, the people of Iran have no quarrel with any other people and in fact have been reaching out to the rest of the international community to assist them in their quest to rid themselves of the tyranny of the Islamic Republic and to establish democracy.
The people of Iran also seek a peaceful resolution to their predicament and would not welcome any military intervention by any State to resolve the nuclear standoff between their rulers, and the rest of the free world.
We believe the only way to halt the nuclear apparatus of the rulers of the Islamic
Republic by all the international community would be to cut off ALL the economic and diplomatic relations with the rulers of the Islamic Republic and to side with the people of Iran.

Once again on this very special occasion, we express our deepest gratitude for your recognition of our heritage and wish you a happy spring season.

With warmest New Year wishes,

Dear Mr. Barak Obama, the president of the United States of America,

On the first day of the spring, and on the occasion of the Iranian New Year, you spoke “directly to the people and the leaders of the Islamic Republic of Iran” in an effort to pursue diplomacy to try and resolve “serious differences that have grown over time” between the Islamic Republic and the world community.

The tone of your message in treating the people AND the leaders of Iran as one entity causes serious concerns among the people of Iran and the rest of the world’s peace loving and justice seeking community. With all due respect and good will, we would like to draw your attention to the following in connection with your Nourooz message:

During the last three decades, the people of Iran have been confronting their “Leaders” to achieve basic human rights, justice and dignity; the chance to live, prosper and to lead a normal life rightly deserved by all humans on this earth.

Whilst the leaders of Iran have been busy in plundering the wealth and the natural resources of this great and ancient nation through which a significant portion of their feast has been channelled in aiding and promoting instability in the region by their direct sponsorship of terrorism via Islamist fundamentalist groups such as HAMAS and Hezbollah, the great majority of Iranian population has been enduring hardship under the poverty line!

The most basic human rights of the Iranian people are systematically denied and every day, the freedom loving people of this great nation are executed and persecuted for demanding the right to live as humans.

Different Iranian ethnic natives and non Moslem Iranians are constantly and systematically denied of their basic rights and are brutally repressed.

In order to establish and maintain itself as the ruling power, the Islamic Republic of Iran has executed in excess of 100,000 of its own citizens, merely seeking justice, freedom and equality. Many scholars and thinkers including writers, poets, philosophers, politicians and innovators have been imprisoned, tortured and executed or have been forced to exile. The unfair and discriminatory treatment of the Iranian women who constitute 50% of the Iranian society has been legalised through fundamentalist Islamic laws; another unjust and shameful treatment of its own citizens which for 3 decades has been confronted by many brave and defiant women’s movements.

Mr. Obama, we don’t believe that such rulers with such decadent and perverse track record against its own nation can be regarded as one entity.

The people of Iran or at least the majority of Iranians have long dissociated themselves from their rulers and have been determined to rid themselves of such despotic system which has been casting its horrifying shadow over them for 30 years.

“For nearly three decades relations between our nations have been strained” you added in your speech.

Mr. Obama, the people of Iran have no quarrel with any other people and in fact have been reaching out to the rest of the international community to assist them in their quest to rid themselves of the tyranny of the Islamic Republic and to establish democracy.

The nuclear standoff between the rulers of the Islamic Republic and the rest of the world is also protested by the majority of the peace loving Iranians and is considered as an unnecessary extortion whilst Iran benefits from a massive wealth of natural oil and gas resources.

Mr. Obama, the people of Iran also seek a peaceful resolution to their predicament and would not welcome any military intervention by any State to resolve the nuclear standoff between their rulers, and the rest of the free world. Any military attack by any State would certainly jeopardise their freedom seeking movement against the Islamic Republic in the form of increased repression and violence against the Iranian people.

The people of Iran expect the international community and in particular the United States of America to have realised by now that the rulers of the Islamic Republic are determined to acquire a nuclear arsenal in order to establish themselves as a super power in the Middle East and to expand their fundamentalist Islamic aspirations beyond their borders.

The people of Iran expect the United States of America and other free world States to recognise their unequivocal rights of establishing a secular democracy in Iran. Appeasing the rulers of Iran for commercial and economic gains by the free world’s States, which has been adopted so far, will have grave consequences upon world peace.

The channels of dialogue and negotiations with the rulers of the Islamic Republic have been long tried and have proved to have been exhausted without any resolve.

Your New Year message to the rulers of Iran will once again fall on deaf ears, as the aspirations of the Mullahs is beyond your good will, and their determinism to acquire nuclear bomb.

The only way to halt the nuclear apparatus of the rulers of the Islamic Republic by all the international community would be to cut off ALL the economic and diplomatic relations with the rulers of the Islamic Republic and to side with the people of Iran through the opposition groups’ movement within Iran and abroad.

Your good will to people of Iran and ultimately the international community in order to uphold world peace can only be achieved in this way.

Finally, may I remind you of the rest of “Saadi’s” poem which recites:

“Human beings are members of one whole,

In creation of one essence and one soul.

If one member is afflicted with pain,

Other members uneasy will remain.

If you have no sympathy for human pain,

The name of human you cannot retain.”

With warmest New Year wishes

Mr. Obama is playing a dangerous game. He prefers wishful illusions rather than confronting the ugly reality. Iran broke Jimmy Carter's presidency. Unless Mr. Obama quickly changes course, he, too, will suffer the same fate.

Dear President Obama:

Over the weekend I was reading these two articles (included below) sent to me by a few of my compatriots. While reading these heart wrenching articles I started thinking about your Norooz message not only to the Iranian people but to the current Iranian government.

Dear President Obama, was your message directed to the family of Omid Reza MirSayafi a young Iranian blogger who died in the Evin prison on the eve of Norooz, due to the negligent behavior of the prison officials and who knows why he truly died. (I have attached herewith as the second article more information sent to me regarding this case). Was this message directed to the thousands of young Iranians held or tortured, maimed and killed in the dungeons of the Ayatollah's just like Omid Reza and Akbar Mohammadi..........????

President Obama, was your address directed to the millions of women who have been suffering at the hands of this regime for the past thirty years? Women who play the most important role in any society as the mother, educator, mentor, wife....have lost their most basic rights under this regime. If it wasn't the drive and guts of the Iranian women themselves they wouldn't have the little rights that they have acquired today either. Dear Mr. President, please read the first article attached below regarding the "Women Rights Activists who were Arbitrarily Detained, Preventing New Years Visits with the families of political prisoners." These detainees were taken to the Evin Prison on the same eve that you issued your statement to these terrorist mullah's holding our nation hostage for the past thirty years.

I am sure you are well aware of the domestic situation in my homeland, the level of addiction, the level of prostitution in order to provide for one's family, the level of poverty, the citizen's of my country having to sell their bodily organs such as Kidney to be able to feed their families for a couple of months, the number of young children the same as you beautiful daughters freezing to death in cardboard boxes they call home (in the streets). This is the re ali ty of my country and this regime can't and won't do anything about it. The people of Iran no longer want these hudlums who have brought them nothing but misery and grief.

As many of my compatriots have written to you during the past few weeks other U.S. administrations had tried the avenue of holding a dialogue with this regime. Not so openly but they all tried in their own way and none of them were successful.

Dear President Obama. I hope now that you and your administration are determined to have a dialogue with these irrational mullah's you will keep the pressure on their pressure point with regards to the Human Rights issues facing the people of my homeland. Is that not why the world and especially President Carter was screaming loud and clear 30 years ago when they truly did not know the re ali ty of what was going on in Iran and didn't think of the consequences of this Islamic Revolution not only for Iran but the whole world. Today the report card of this regime has been an open record for the past thirty years and I don't need to review it.

Dear Mr. President, please think of the future of the children of my homeland who know they have no future under this terrorist regime. As Iranians we re ali ze it is up to us to make the change and bring about regime change and instill a democratic, secular regime that respects the territorial integrity of Iran and has respect for Human Rights of "ALL" Iranians irrespective of their religious or ethnic backgrounds. However, we do need the moral support of democratic nations to succeed and we count on the United States to support the freedom movement inside and outside Iran .

Once again I would like to urge you to make the issue of the Rights of the Iranian people your priority issue when de ali ng with the regime of the "Ayatollah's".

Respectfully yours,

Iran: Women’s Rights Activists Arbitrarily Detained, Preventing New Year Visits

(26 March 2009) Iranian authorities should immediately release a dozen women’s rights activists detained arbitrarily in Tehran today, the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran said.

Security forces detained 12 members of the One Million Signatures Campaign and Mothers for Peace at a street corner as the group met to make private New Year visits to families of several prisoners of conscience. With the Persian New Year holidays underway, it is customary for families and friends to visit each other.

As of this evening, local time, all detainees have been transferred to Evin Prison. A judge named Matin Rasekh has charged them with “disturbing public opinion” and “disruption of public order.”

The=2 0arrests suggest that security and intelligence forces have been surveilling and eavesdropping on activists’ private communications. Police forces arrested the group at their meeting place, on Sohrevardi Street in Tehran , before they could embark on their private visits, the website Change for Equality reported.

“The paranoia and intolerance of the intelligence agencies have reached unbelievable proportions. There is no justification whatsoever to deny activists their rights to visit each other during New Year celebrations,” said Hadi Ghaemi, the Campaign’s spokesperson.

According to the latest information from Tehran, the names of the twelve detainees are: Delaram Ali, Khadijeh Moghadam, Leila Nazari, Farkhondeh Ehtesabian, Mahboubeh Karami, Bahara Behravan, Ali Abdi, Amir Rashidi, Mohammad Shoorab, Arash Nasiri Eghb ali , Soraya Yousefi and Shahla Forouzanfar.

After the security forces detained the group at Sohrevardi Street , they were taken to Niloofar Police Station. At around 8:30 pm local time, the detainees were transferred to Evin Prison and held in section 209, which is under the control of the Intelligence Ministry.

“We are seriously concerned about the fate of detainees and the absolute lack of transparency and due process demonstrated by this case. For what crime are they being held? Is observing New Year traditions now a crime in Iran ? The Iranian leaders should step forward and explain why intelligence agents are given free reign to deprive citizens of their most basic rights,” Ghaemi said.

Dear Madam Secretary,
Respectfully, in regards to your letter today to the Islamic regime in Iran; we do indeed share your concern
for the immediate release and safe return of Robert Levinson, Roxana Saberi and Esha Momeni; but
shouldn’t the same “humanitarian gesture” be extended to the citizens of Iran as well?
More than a week ago in President Obama’s Nowruz message, he said:
“…let us remember (Persian) poet Saadi: The children of Adam are limbs to each other, having been created
of one essence…”
Aren’t the oppressed and imprisoned people of Iran created of the same essence as the U.S citizens
mentioned in your letter?
What about Mrs. Hakimih Hasan-Zadeh (on death row), Mr. Jalayer Vahdat and Mrs. Sima Ishraghi (two
Bahais arrested in early January 2009), or Mr. Anvar Hussein Panahi (Political Prisoner protesting his death
sentence who went on a hunger strike during the Nowruz festival).
On 2008-Feb-25 your own U.S Dept. of State website has published “2008 Country Reports on Human
Rights Practices”. You can see the list of students and other civilians being imprisoned and tortured to death
every day without any reason or any trial only because they dared to express their opinion against the daily
criminal acts of the Islamist regime.
Dear Madam Secretary,
As noted in your letter to the Islamic regime in Iran: "These acts would certainly constitute a humanitarian
gesture by the Islamic republic of Iran in keeping with the spirit of renewal and generosity that marks the
Persian New Year."
In comparison, it is like asking Nazis to have mercy on the Jewish people on Hanukah. To make this point
clear, the Islamic regime in Iran does not represent the people of Iran. They rule by force, intimidation, and
terror inflicted upon the Iranian people. We are certain that you are well informed of the arrests of well over
700 Iranian youth by the regime just because they were celebrating Nowruz, the Iranian New Year, not
more than three weeks ago.
It is well known that the members of the Islamic regime in Iran and its leaders such as Ali Khamenei and
Mahmood Ahmadinejad deeply despise the Persian heritage that every Iranian is proud of and the regime
views our national traditions as an impediment to the survival of their ideological regime. The number of
executions of innocent Iranians during the period of the New Year celebration, which is customary to extend
pardon as a humanitarian gesture, is another sign of their hatred toward humanity in general and Iranians
in particular.
Dear Madam Secretary,
Success in Afghanistan by establishing calm and stability is indeed the wish of any peace loving person and
we sincerely wish success for Mr. Richard Holbrook and the members of the US Armed Forces in
Afghanistan. At the same time, the borders of Afghanistan with Iran is the main route for the Islamic regime
to participate in 92 percent of the world’s supply of opium with a revenue of well over $2.7 billion USD.
These funds are funneled back into the criminal and terrorist activities in Afghanistan by the cronies of the
Islamic regime. This gravely sabotages and undermines the invaluable efforts of the United States and
international community.
Your fight for security is our struggle for freedom.
Sincerely,
iranMehr

At the G20 summit, President Obama once again repeated the same mantra, “The United States wants the Islamic Republic of Iran to take its rightful place in the community of nations.” Apparently, the White House staff does not read my articles so President Obama continues to parrot the same mantra everywhere he goes.

.............

In his recent trip to London for G20 summit, President Obama was reaching out to shake the hand of King Abdullah, one of the leading men of terror in our current life. Saudi Arabia is a hub for terrorism. Seventeen terrorists out of nineteen terrorists on the 11 September 2001 attacks were from Saudi Arabia, supposedly our friend and ally. Here is the travesty, the most powerful man on earth bends over and bows deeply to Saudis’ King Abdullah, who is well known for his support of Wahhabi Islamism all over the world. Go figure! After All, Saudi Arabia is a place where Prophet Muhammad was born and it is where he unleashed his dogma of Islamic terrorism, the Quran.

Quran 8:12 "I shall terrorize the infidels. So wound their bodies and incapacitate them because they oppose Allah and His Apostle."

Quran 33:26 "Allah made the Jews leave their homes by terrorizing them so that you killed some and made many captive. And He made you inherit their lands, their homes, and their wealth. He gave you a country you had not traversed before."

Mr. President, many Americans are still in shock by your action at the G20 summit. American Presidents do not bow to any monarchs from any country, period. Your appearance looked submissive, insulting to millions of Americans and treacherous at worst. Your naiveté is really making it difficult for Americans to like you. Even among your completely brainwashed fans and, should I dare to say, some media zombies like Keith Olbermann and Chris Mathew too!

And now, the Saudi King’s petrodollar, along with other 56 member nations of the Organization of the Islamic Conference are pressuring the United Nations to pass a universal law prescribing imprisonment for criticizing Islam, an ideology of terror. The Cairo declaration states "that all rights are subject to Shari’a law, and makes Shari’a law the only source of reference for human rights."

At the Olympics, in 1908 the American Flag, carried by Michael Sheridan chosen for the honor said “This flag dips to no earthly king,” Sheridan said." And it hasn't since. But, now we have a president, bowing and scraping to an individual whose religion commands him to kill all infidels! Infidel = you and me! Obama Bows to Saudi King

United States President Barack Obama was caught on camera by journalists on Wednesday bowing in deference to Saudi King Abdullah as he greeted him at the G20 meeting in London.

It's a profound Obamadilemma. After a few days of media embargo on the pictures, the world has now seen Obama's Deep Bow to the Oil King. It's on YouTube. The Brits and the Arabs are buzzing, buzzing. Conservatives are scandalized by the sight of an American president lowering himself physically and symbolically before a slave-owning medieval Wahhabi king, just two generations from the slave-raiding camel riders of the desert. If you want to know the universal meaning of Obama's bow, just look at this Chinese kowtow. It's not arguable, which is why in the White House Propaganda Office they're still trying to lie about it.

The Legacy of Arab-Islam in Africa

To all you Internet Muslims and LIED TO and confused African-Americans who like to bring up the USA's African slave hx (hx = history), I say this: Compare the USA's short Colonial slave hx to that of the hx of Arabs (Islamic and Pre-Islamic) who colonized North and East Africa, who hunted, enslaved, tortured and killed Ethnic Africans for several thousands of years before the same geographical ARABS started/opened the slave trade to Colonial America who merely (in comparison) bought slaves for servitude.

M.E. Arabs have a history of thousands of years of human slavery, which even continues today in the M.E.'s "MODERN WORLD."

One of the most tragic facts is that MECCA, the geographic heart of the Muslim community, was one of the LARGEST SLAVE MARKETS in the Muslim world all the way up until the 2Oth century when the standards of the international community, championed by the West, came to inform Muslims that chattel slavery is a violation against dignity, humanity and their own standing in global affairs.

Many unsuspecting free people were taken on the pilgrimage by high-ranking Muslims and sold or arrested on trumped up charges, ultimately ending up as victims of the notorious Meccan slave trade. In fact, slaves have been reported as being sold as late as 1960 in Saudi Arabia, and many more cases are reported in Sudan.

So do us all a favor and take THE WHOLE STORY into account before you ever post your blame, blaming Colonial America entirely. THE WHOLE STORY explains WHY, WHEN, WHERE and WHO.

Get it right: Check your facts.

*Black African Slave Trade, African Slave Trade, Arab Slave Trade, trans saharan slave trade, Arab Muslims invade invaded Africa Afrika, Arab Muslims kill killed slaughtered Africa, Islam uses Blacks, Muslims use blacks, Muslims use ethnic blacks, TransAtlantic Slave trade, trans-atlantic Slave Trade vs verses The ARAB SLAVE TRADE, how long did the Arab Slave Trade Last, The ARAB SLAVE TRADE lasted several thousand years, Islamic Slave Trade, how long did the Islamic Slave Trade Last, Islamic slave trade started 650 AD and still continues, arab slave trade responsible for transatlantic slave trade, Legacy of the arab slave trade, Darfur, Sudan, Chad, Abed.

In 2003, an Iranian-born Canadian photojournalist named Zahra Kazemi was arrested in Tehran, jailed in its notorious Evin prison and charged with espionage. Less than three weeks later, Kazemi was dead. An Iranian doctor who examined her before her death later reported that she had been raped, sustained a skull fracture and had her fingernails ripped out.

Now another foreign journalist is imprisoned at Evin and also charged with espionage. In late January, Roxana Saberi, a U.S.-born reporter of Iranian descent who had been living in Iran for several years, was arrested for buying a bottle of wine. In early March, she was accused of "illegal activities," including working without press credentials. She was later indicted for espionage and on Monday her case went to trial, which lasted a day; a verdict is expected within weeks.

Advocates of engagement often make the case that talks are the best way to foster better relations with Iran, and a better Iran altogether. Ms. Saberi's prosecution is as good an indication as any of the real nature of the regime, and of how the mullahs intend to reciprocate Mr. Obama's open handshake.

The vast land of United States was once inhabited by a relatively small number of indigenous people. These native “Indians” had lived throughout the land for thousands of years, and they will always remain the first inhabitance of what is now the United States. These native people helped the pilgrims survive the winter. Later, European immigrants came and the number of settlements finally outgrew the native Americans.
Then, on July 4, 1776, America declared its independence from England, the old white grandfather across the sea. The miracle of America happened, and its dynamic birth rapidly changed the entire world.

After witnessing and speaking with nearly a hundred of people at one Tea Party, I realized that spirit is still alive and well, despite great efforts by liberal Media labeling the very peaceful demonstrators as extremists. In fact, I spoke mostly with middle class moms and kids who were worried about their future and most of them had voted for Obama, not because they liked his agendas, but because they were very disappointed with Bush.

CNN, MSNBC and other big media must be ashamed of themselves for their childish behavior. This was 100% a grassroots movement by Americans who are sick and tired of the size of big government and are simply against socialism. This was also a warning to the current administration, “not so fast.”

Dr. Ganji's Letter Open Letter Regarding Situation of Human Rights in Iran to President Obama
Professor Manouchehr Ganji wrote:

President Barak H. Obama
White House 19 April 2009
Washington , D.C.

Dear Mr. President,

I am a US Permanent resident from Iran .I have followed developments in Iran , on daily basis , for the past 30 years . Although, I know , the White House will never answer letters of this nature, for history's sake and in memory of my seven assassinated colleagues outside and tens of thousands of others who have been executed or are behind the bars, in Iran , and being tortured , for merely opposing oppressive policies of the clerical dictatorship and demanding the respect of their rights, I feel obligated to address this letter to you today

Mr. President,

There is no question in my mind that by now, you know fully well, that the clerical regime in Iran, has been and remains today , one of the most consistent and flagrant violators of human rights and fundamental freedoms in the world .Its yearly , population percentage rate of executions is the first in the world . It is among the rare countries in the world where even minors can be executed or where they stone people to death, gouge eyes, cut arms, legs, fingers and flog people. To be rest assured of all that, all that your Office needs to do is to take a cursory glance at the State Department's Annual Reports on the status of violations of Human Rights in the world for the past 28 years, read the Annual Reports of the Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, Annual Reports of various UN Special human rights Rapporteurs as well as the annual reports of the Reporters Without Frontiers, on Iran .

You must know Sir that , the principal of "Peoples Consent ",as the basis of governments legitimacy is not an accepted principal in the Clerical Establishment in Iran. As you know,"Elections" under their system are nothing but a hoax .They pick their favored sons and daughters and tell the people to go and vote for them .

Iran is a party to the Charter of the United Nations which in at least five of its articles ,categorically forbids any form of discriminations on grounds of race, color ,sex, language, religion, national or social origin. The clerical regime has been discriminating on all those grounds for 30 years. Iran is a Party to both U.N. Covenants on Civil and Political Rights and on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights. The Clerical Regime has been grossly and consistently violating the terms of those Covenants for the past 30 years.Iran is a Member of the International Labor Organization .The clerical regime for the past 30 years has been violating the basic terms of all of the ILO 's most crucial Conventions and Recommendations.

Only yesterday, the Tehran Clerical regime ,after a show trial of less than 24 hours , sentenced a 31 years old, US/Iranian journalist , Roxana Saberi, to six years prison term , under the hocus charges of "spying for the United States". Only yesterday, against generally accepted International norms and Conventions, it sentenced to death Delara Darabi,a 19 year old girl, for a crime, she is alleged to have committed, when she was a minor,17 years of age

Mr. President,

Concern for the situation of human rights in other countries, has always been the bulwark of the Democratic Party administrations in the United States. The Republican Party has also much to be proud of in this respect , as well . President Carter's Helsinki Forum , President Reagan's ," pull that wall down Mr Gorbachev" remark and President Bush's presentation of a Congressional Gold Medal to the Dalai Lama , are but a few examples of that.

In 1792 Thomas Jefferson, at the time the Secretary of States stated " It accords with our Principles to acknowledge any government to be rightful (de jure) which is formed by the will of the people, substantially declared." It is a matter of common knowledge that the clerical regime in Iran does not fit into that criteria.

In view of the above, Mr. President , on behalf of millions of freedom loving , silenced voices of my compatriots in Iran and millions of people of Iranian origin in the United States and in the world at large , I humbly urge you Sir, to demand of your colleagues who sit with the representatives of that regime , to include the issue of respect for human rights in Iran and the illegal confiscation of the properties and pensions of tens of thousands of , by now the US and the European countries citizens ,among the agenda items of their discussions.

In anticipation of hopefully hearing from you, please accept Mr. President the assurances of my highest considerations.

Professor Manouchehr Ganji

Human Rights and Fundamental for Iran

"Jimmy Carter: the Liberal Left and World Chaos" is the new expose by #1 New York Times bestselling author Mike Evans, who documents, for the first time, the following facts about President Jimmy Carter:
He Provided political and financial sponsor ship. . . checks of $150 million to Neauphle-le-Chateau outside Paris. . . while Khomeini plotted to kill the Shah of Iran and overthrow his nation. The French, British, and Germans agreed to support his plan.
Carter poured $500 million into the Muslim Brotherhood, calling them freedom fighters. We now call them the Taliban and al Qaeda.
On Inauguration Day 1980 shortly after 4:00 AM he wire-transferred $7.9 billion in an attempt to buy back the hostages after 444 days of humiliation. * He provided checks of $150 million each to Khomeini who plotted to kill the shah of Iran and overthrow his nation. * He provided $500 million to the Muslim Brotherhood freedom fighters who became the Taliban and al- Qaida. * He wire-transferred $7.9 billion to buy-back the hostages after 444 days of humiliation.
But there's much more than history here. Carter is still a player on the international stage especially since the election of Barack Obama as the new president.

Listen to Shah's own words and see why the U.S. & Western conspiracy brought him down.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7d1yt7od0G0&feature=email

Then go the this video at 4:00 and see the calculation as how much these countries saved in Oil money, by creating a bloody revolution, and encouraging Shah to leave.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MUK7J2GfXE&feature=email

Sorry the above video has been removed. Basically it showed that effective 1979, Shah was asking $45.00 a barrel, once the EU & US brought Khomeini the Oil became $10,00 a barrel.

Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is criticizing the Bush administration for what she called a failed eight-year effort to isolate Iran.
In congressional testimony Thursday, she said the approach of President Barack Obama's predecessor did not deter Iran "one bit" in its ambitions to acquire nuclear weapons and support terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah and Hamas. She said Iran's nuclear program has continued unabated.

Clinton said former President George W. Bush's policy only increased concerns about Iranian influence.

The Obama administration is trying a different approach, reaching out and trying to engage in a dialogue with the Iranians.
