There are some 1.2 billion Muslims in the world, the overwhelming majority of which are Cultural Muslims who are generally called moderate Muslims. Muslims are born into Islam, where a great many never go through the process of deciding for themselves if they want to be Muslims. It is not a religion that they choose, it is a belief they inherit. For whatever reason, this great majority of Cultural Muslims are Muslims of sort without fully toeing the line of Islam. The real Muslims are the jihadists, a small minority who lives and dies by the dictates of the Quran and the Sunna, the life examples of Muhammad.

The Obama administration has lost no time extending an outstretched hand to Iran’s terrorist regime, just as promised during the election campaign. The president assured the mullahs of his pacific intentions in a January 2009 interview on al-Arabiya TV, asking nothing more than that Iran unclench its fist.

Secretary of State Clinton echoed Obama after an early February 2009 meeting with British Foreign Secretary David Miliband. Absent from either of their comments was any mention of Tehran’s obligations before the world community to comply with United Nations resolutions to immediately and verifiably suspend all nuclear enrichment activity. Also missing was any criticism of Iran’s massive support for terrorist organizations such as Hamas, Hizballah, and Palestinian Islamic Jihad -- not to mention its long-standing affiliation with al-Qa’eda.

Unfortunately, I don't see President Obama's speech as a positive message to Iranian people, only to the Taazi occupiers of Iran. In response, Antarijejad had said they will hurry up and finish their nuclear plant. Unlike President Bush, who at least used to say, "we stand with Iranian people and separated the regime from Iranian people", Obama referred to us as "islamic republic of Iran"! He wants to "negotiate"! and extend the life of the Taazis in Iran. His foreign policy is not much different from Carter or Clinton, that is to extend friendship with the mullahs of "islamic republic of Iran" and legitimize their occupation of Iran, and very much ignores the aspirations for freedom of people in Iran.
Here is the the contrast between Sarkozy and Obama: President Sarkozy said " Iranians are good people , they don't deserve this form of government!" He has even called Obama's policy towards Iran as "naive"...

Dear Blank,
Due to the fact that I had very low expectation from President Obama therefore I considered as positive message.
Agree with your points and if you feel we have not made it clear in the video please let me know, in next update clarify it better ....
The following is FYI

Chairman Kerry wrote:

Chairman Kerry Statement on President Obama's Message to Iran Celebrating Nowruz

Mar 20, 2009 (Congressional Documents and Publications/ContentWorks via COMTEX) -- March 20, 2009 Contact: Frederick Jones, Communications Director, 202-224-4651 Chairman Kerry Statement on President Obama's Message to Iran Celebrating Nowruz WASHINGTON, D.C. - Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Senator John Kerry (D-MA) released the following statement today in response to President's Obama's videotaped remarks to the people of Iran in celebration of Nowruz: "President Obama's eloquent address to the people and leaders of Iran commemorating Nowruz can be a watershed moment in public diplomacy, with a unique president using the powers of persuasion to great effect.

The regime in Tehran faces rising discontent from its own people. President Obama's message offers the regime a real choice: they can continue down the path of intransigence and face increasing regional isolation, escalating international sanctions, continuing economic stagnation and the threat of a regional confrontation, or they can start down a path of real change for both Iran and the entire Middle East.

Ending Iran's nuclear program and its support for terror is front and center for this Administration, as it must be. But if we learned anything during the last eight years, it's that mere saber rattling and idle threats only strengthen hardliners in Tehran by giving them a convenient foil and rhetorical sparring partner to distract from their own failures within their own country.

I am not naive about the difficulties of a diplomatic breakthrough with Iran. But while it remains to be seen what direct negotiations with Iran can bring, this type of direct and respectful outreach to the Iranian people will be necessary if we are to chart a new course with Iran."

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

During the week that IRVAJ was not being updated due to our national holidays, some important events have taken place. Among the most significant of these was the unexpected “Now-Rooz message of President Obama to the Iranian nation and the ‘Government of the Islamic Republic’ which carried a number of surprises. The message in itself was not a novelty, issuing special messages for this occasion to the Iranian people started with President Bill Clinton and continued with President George W. Bush. What seemed new and surprising this time was the additional twist of including the name of IRI’s government in this year’s ‘greetings.’

To some observers, this move sounded like a concession. An extension of legitimacy to a government which has not diplomatic relations with the US and has had no recognition as such in the past. Never before in any of such messages, there was any reference to the IRI government. As a matter of fact, during the Bush II presidency, it seemed like there was a conscious effort to distinguish between the people of Iran and the clerical rulers of the country. Unfortunately so far there has been neither a confirmation nor any denial of this interpretation. However, should this turn out to be true, the regime in Tehran must be thankful to its lobbyists in Washington and New York as well as those who have come out recently in support of negotiations between the new US administration and the regime in Tehran and thus have made a contribution to legitimization of the regime..

Not unexpectedly, Tehran’s real boss threw cold water on Washington’s premature enthusiasm of reaching a ‘deal’ with the Mullahs over the head of the Iranian people. To some of the old-timers who have been watching this sickening comedy of ‘courtship’ for the past thirty years, the recent sycophantic approach to Tehran was reminiscent of the famous ‘Cake and the Quran comedies’ of the late 80’s.

It is puzzling why the US and Europe who stood up so magnificently against the apartheid regime in South Africa as well the Fascist and Communist governments for their gross violations of human rights, do not seem to apply the same standards when it comes to the plight of the Iranian people against their oppressors? It should be a matter of urgency to all Iranian freedom-fighters that we see no trace of concern for violations of human rights in Iran in all of Mr. Obama’s utterances so far concerning the Iranian situation. It is in the light of this fact that all those who have been ignoring this major shift in the US policy and instead have joined the lobbyists of the regime in support of negotiations with the oppressive regime in Tehran, should urgently re-evaluate their positions and actions

But President Obama also invoked persistence with respect to Iran.

“When it comes to Iran, you know, we did a video sending a message to the Iranian people and the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran. And some people said, ‘Well, they did not immediately say they were eliminating nuclear weapons and stop funding terrorism.’ Well, we didn’t expect that. We expect that we’re going to make steady progress on this front.”

DEA Reports show that Mexican Cartel "Thugs" are receiving training from Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
NAFBPO: El Universal (Mexico City) 7/17/08 - This paper accessed "restricted circulation" reports of the DEA which show that the Sinaloa and Gulf narcotraffic cartels have contacted extremist groups in Iran to send "elite" thugs, mainly ex-military, to that country to receive training in weapons and explosives and that these contacts go back to 2005. Reportedly, they travel to Iran via flights from Venezuela. In Iran, the Revolutionary Guard furnishes advanced training in command, control, rockets, automatic weapons, sniper rifles and explosives.

The Juarez cartel reportedly gets its training from Colombia’s FARC. Further, that some terrorist group members have married Mexican women and have changed their Arabic names to Hispanic ones which has allowed them to enter the United States.
- In Sinaloa, two car bombs were turned over to the “PGR” (Mex. Dep’t. of Justice) by the army. One had three gas cylinders of ten kilos each; the other had two gallons of gasoline.

President Obama said, "The United States wants the Islamic Republic of Iran to take its rightful place in the community of nations." But, Mr. President, the Iranian nation does not wish to be associated with this occupying regime, whatsoever. In fact, they want the Islamic Republic to be thrown into the dustbin of history as quickly as possible. Mr. President, today, the Islamic Republic of Iran is one of the greatest threats to the stability of the civilized world and humanity at large. It continues to impose its horrendous ideology on the Iranian population.
