Over the past three decades, American policy towards Iran has drifted from ineffectual to misguided while the Islamic Republic has remained an enigma for most western strategists. The regime’s rule is defined by oppression at home and aid to terrorists abroad. It routinely threatens Israel and challenges American interests where and when it can. Yet, successive American administrations have failed to develop a coherent, decisive strategy to face-down the fundamentalist regime.

Three basic strategies are in play today — one already deployed, another being flirted with, and the third ominously hinted at. Economic sanctions have been imposed since the mid 1990s with little if any effect on the regime. Much as in Iraq under Saddam Hussein, the regime has oil to fill its trough, but it is the Iranian people that bear the brunt of the economic pressure and are ultimately hurt.
Then there is the misguided counsel of direct negotiations with the regime. The only result of direct negotiations would be bestowing legitimacy upon the reviled apocalyptic regime. Is it wise for the U.S. government to help legitimize an oppressive regime that has lost the support of its own people?

The third, and most wrong-headed option regularly hinted at in government circles is military confrontation. This short sighted, ill conceived option is another example of what ails American foreign policy today — lack of knowledge and understanding of the adversary. It fails to differentiate between the Iranian people, who genuinely like the Americans, and the Islamic regime ruling Iran, which despises all things American. Besides, who in their right mind would seriously think that the American people are ready and willing to sacrifice tens of thousands of their sons and daughters yet again?

The Islamic Republic would actually welcome either of the two misguided U.S. strategies — negotiations or war. Both strategies will strengthen their repressive control over Iran and will allow them to extend their strategic hegemony over much of the Middle East, into parts of Central Asia and the Indian Ocean region.

The Islamic Republic has a long record of using negotiations as a tactic of buying time to further its illicit policies. Besides, official negotiation means officially recognizing the legitimacy of the other side — which is something the clerical regime has longed for. Official negotiations will also be interpreted as the U.S. government’s concession to the clerical regime.

Do the prime supporters of global terrorism deserve rewarding? No matter how one considers this dilemma, the fact is that the regime is despised by the majority of the people because, besides oppressing the people, it has mismanaged the economy to the point that the per capita income of an Iranian, corrected for inflation, is one third of what it was 30 years ago.

Inflation today is 24 percent according to the regime's official figures, unemployment for men is 30 percent and for women is 50 percent. The people are on the brink and the society is ready to explode, but lack of perceived international support and a vacuum of leadership has postponed the inevitable.

Bombing Iran would be militarily ineffective, and would lead to enormous, and protracted difficulties for the U.S., including tremendous loss of life as well as loss of meaningful U.S. influence in the region. It would almost certainly lead to a much more virulent conflict in Iraq, while the possibility of a full-scale war against Israel will increase exponentially. Moreover, military attacks of any nature against Iran, by the U.S. and/or Israel, would result in the devastation of Iran and un-accepted loss of life of the people — a people who, as mentioned earlier, are not the enemies of America or Israel, but who have genuine affection for both. Bombing Iran could also precipitate the balkanization of the Greater Middle East.

War has been the great ally of the clerical regime. In 1982, after only 2 years in power, the regime was almost swept from office by a groundswell of public outrage against the clerics. Khomeini embraced the war with Iraq — a war that could easily have been avoided — and used the Iranian people’s patriotic zeal to guarantee the survival and longevity of the Islamic Republic. Ahmadinejad and the clerics in Tehran once again see the possibility of using the people’s greater hatred of a foreign aggressor to dissipate their lesser hatred of the fundamentalist regime. By taking the bait, America will guarantee the longevity of the clerical regime.

But there is a ‘Fourth Option’ forward. The Iranian people, so far pawns in this political morass, have always been there, patiently waiting for any sign of real support to mount a challenge. The political history of this people is rife with examples of a seemingly oppressed and passive people suddenly rising to challenge the powers that be, when the right leadership as well as the perception of support converged. The Iranian people are fast approaching that point today.

To help leadership emerge from among the Iranian people, Washington must take a very strong, clear-cut, unequivocal stand in support for the people. The Iranian people must be assured that the U.S. government and the American people stand with them in their quest for freedom.

As a prelude to this new approach, all saber rattling must cease so that the American people and the U.S. Government are once again accepted as friends and supporters and not as possible aggressors. Then the President of the United States — the leader of the Free World — must demand that they be treated with respect and dignity. If the Iranian people are convinced that when they stand up for their own freedom, there will not stand alone, there is little doubt that they will take decisive action. Again with history as our guide, stabilizing Iran would have a tremendously positive effect on stabilizing the region.

The reality is that the U.S. should have already been following this ‘Fourth Option’. The Option should include a comprehensive psychological strategy which would empower the Iranian people to seize the situation. To keep control of the people, the clerics have artificially created a sense of siege within Iran. The siege needs to be broken.

So far, conventional policies have been the norm. The State Department’s role is to seek diplomatic solutions and open official lines of communications with foreign powers. Some quarters are also charged with finding military solutions. But no one is charged with thinking outside the box. It is time to take action and implement this logical, low cost strategy. But it is a call to help empower the people to take charge of their own lives and to bring about the changes they desire. Also it is time and absolutely necessary for internal/ external Iranians to put away their tactical differences to come up with acceptable, untainted national democratic alternative to replace the corrupt clerical government.

Dr. Homayoun, has the correct idea in theory. However, what does he exactly mean by "supporting & standing" by Iranian people. Does that mean when the people rise up and the killing machine of iri start using tanks and weapons against people- similar to what red China did when students rose up- to destroy the uprising, then the U.S. should stand by in support of Iranian people and say; that is a bad thing that mullahs are doing... and what does that accomplish? the same thing that was accomplished in China. Or does Dr. Homayoun mean by "support & standing by Iranian people" is to actually give weapons and communication equipment to dissidents and people so they can stand up against the regime and defend themselves; combind with a blockade of oil, and goods by the US and the Western countries.
Unfortunately, just a verbal praise of Iranian people, by the US does not accomplish anything, unless it is combined with physical & psychological assistance, which may include weapons, and communication equipments.

Vision of Future For Change: Spirit Of Cyrus The Great Leadership Versus Machiavelli Vision (Draft Notes 02)

Understanding the Vision of Future, problem domain, detecting inflection points, secular democracy, Cyrus The Great Leadership vision versus Machiavelli vision, Fear Society and Terror State versus Free Society and Human Rights are the key elements which should be examined to simplify our decision making process and direction based on facts, integrity, critical national and international issues for better future of mankind and not based on political parties vision, right, left , center, who wins today, who can spend more money to push certain agenda … .

To safeguard freedom it is necessary to remind ourselves regarding James Madison famous statement:
"If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men! over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government; but experience has taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary precautions. "
The Federalist No. 51 (James Madison).

Where Are We And Facts About Our Small Planet?

The perspective we get on Earth, our planet appears to be big and sturdy with an endless ocean of air. From space, astronauts often get the impression that the Earth is small with a thin, fragile layer of atmosphere. For a space traveler, the distinguishing Earth features are the blue waters, brown and green land masses and white clouds set against a black background. We should love and respect our small beautiful mother earth planet, because without it there is nothing to talk about it. Many dream of traveling in space and viewing the wonders of the universe. In reality all of us are space travelers. Our spaceship is the planet Earth, traveling at the speed of 108,000 kilometers (67,000 miles) an hour . As long as we can not create another planet like earth we must be careful not to destroy this planet environment for future generation. Today the planet earth has over 6 billion population with 1 billion over poverty and over 5 billions under poverty line with unproductive life and many problems. The Fanatics, FASCISTS, Islamic Fascists, Neo Colonialists Power (China, Russia, EU3 …), Terrorists, Islamists ..... are becoming the biggest obstacles for freedom and progress in this planet. The question is how can we change to enhance the quality of life and environment in this planet ?

What is inflection point?

Understanding inflection point can help leaders, decision makers and voters to detect a change in outlook for better decision making process.

An inflection point is a point on a curve at which the sign of the curvature (i.e., the concavity) changes. Inflection points may be stationary points, but are not relative maxima or relative minima. For example, for the curve y=x to the power of 3 plotted above, the point x=0 is an inflection point.
Mathematically, we encounter an inflection point when the rate of change of the slope of the curve (referred to as its "second derivative") changes sign, for instance, going from negative to positive. In physical terms, it's where a curve changes from convex to concave, or vice versa. As shown in the diagram, it's the point at which a curve stops curving one way and starts curving the other way."

What is The Real World Strategic Inflection Point?
Finding the real world social, political, historical, business, individual strategic inflection point is far more difficult to detect than Mathematical inflection points, requires knowledge, superb judgement and high level of awareness.
Real world inflection point occurs where the old strategic picture dissolves and gives way to the new situation, allowing the social, political, historical, business, individual to ascend to new heights. However, if you don't detect and navigate our way through a peak and after the peak then the declines and disaster will occur. It is around such inflection points that are puzzled and observe, Things are different. Something major has changed and new direction, idea is needed to ascend not descend.

What is the Reality Of Today?

Based on today reality that less than one-half of one percent of all Americans made a political contribution of $200 or more to a federal candidate in 2004, when the average cost of winning a seat in the House of Representatives has topped $1 million.
The abstract terms “Realist” ,“Idealist” and “National Interest” without clear substance are widely used by spectrum of right, left and center political categories to hide professional politicians real intentions, without clear policy to be able to flip flop as they need, this is called “Hypocrisy” . Unfortunately today “Hypocrisy” is the name of the game for short term gain in the name of “National Interest”, “Realist” and “Idealist …. this is why the great majority of Americans and others in free world are loosing interest in politics and don’t have much trust and respect for majority of today elected politicians. If we agree with this observation then we are at the inflection point period, this period of inflection point might take years relative to 1000s of years of human history. In order to expose the truth we need to avoid these abstract terms that has become muddy buzzword, and added a lot of complexity. In order to simplify for our complex time and better vision of future we should judge our professional politicians relative to main two dominating philosophical vision Machiavelli versus Cyrus The Great.

Quick Overview Of Machiavelli Vision:
Machiavelli discussed history and politics in purely human terms, and simply ignored moral consideration. Unfortunately Machiavelli is considered to be one of the principal founders of modern political thought. In chapter 17 of The Prince, Machiavelli discusses whether it is better for a prince to be loved or feared: "The reply is that one ought to be both feared and loved, but...it is much safer to be feared than loved, if one of the two has to be wanting ...for love is held by a chain of obligation which, men being selfish, is broken whenever it serves their purposes, but fear is maintained by a dread of punishment which never fails." Often, the most denunciation came from those who practiced what Machiavelli preached- a hypocrisy of which Machiavelli might approve, in principle! Therefore we should not judge politicians by their words but by their hard and difficult choices, actions, and great sacrifices.

Quick Overview Of Cyrus the Great Vision:
Cyrus the Great, the father of first Human Rights declaration over 2500 years ago, abolition of slavery and national or racial discriminations, freedom to choose one's place of residence, freedom of religious beliefs, and establishing peace amongst nations. Such ideas are still alive and clearly esteemed by all those who believe in human dignity and his rights. The Iranians regarded Cyrus The Great as The Father, the Babylonians as The Liberator, the Greeks as the Law-Giver, and the Jews as the Anointed of the Lord. According to Prof. Richard Frye from Harvard University “surely the concept of One World, .... the fusion of peoples and cultures in one 'Oecumen' was one of their important legacies”. Therefore Cyrus the Great considered as the greatest political leader and liberator of all time throughout human history.

The American Founding Fathers Vision:

The founding fathers - George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, John Adams … are impressive revolutionary characters …
Recent research by historians are stating the fact that Cyrus The Great Book by Xenophon and The Prince book by Machiavelli were the required reading by the American Revolutionary Founding Fathers and the personal copies of these books owned by Founding Fathers exists in Library of Congress . The drafting of the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution was more influenced by Cyrus The Great leadership and vision than Machiavelli. Cyrus The Great Leadership Vision is based on Free Society, Human Rights, Moral values and high code of ethics versus Machiavelli vision which is based on Fear Society, Immorality and Unethical means to control society. The American founding fathers - George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, John Adams … were not Machiavellian and that is why they have been able to create a great foundation for future.
We should try to find answer to the following question, why the founding fathers have achieved so much in short period of time that our generation can not achieve with far superior power and knowledge?

Today Simple Rules For Evaluating Policy and Strategy

Our future expectations from policy makers and leadership are defined with new set of test cases for foreign policy evaluation criteria to be able to measure success and failure results more easily. Our recommended test cases and criteria are based on Cyrus The Great Spirit, the American founding fathers vision, spirit of freedom, US constitution and defined as follows:

1- Have a secular democracy purpose
2- Have a Human Rights purpose
3- Have a Free Society purpose
4- Have a primary effect to increase freedom at global level.
5- Have the element of War Of Ideas to expand public awareness, education and expansion of truth.
6- Have an element of Freedom of Choice
7- Applying the U.S.A. Supreme Court accepted "Lemon test," to foreign policy decisions, strategy and conduct. According to the "Lemon test," in order to be constitutional, a law or public act must: a) Have a secular purpose. b) Have a primary effect that neither advances nor inhibits religion. c) Not result in excessive governmental entanglement with religion.
8- Move towards better unified global fair Justice System.
9- Separation Of Oil and State, Separation Of Blood Oil and Human Rights, Separation Of Blood Oil and Free Society, Separation Of Blood Oil and Secular Democracy and Stop Global Warming.

Conclusion and Possible Direction:

If we accept Cyrus The Great Leadership Vision, Free Society and Secular Democracy as a basis of far superior political philosophy and model for world order than current dominating Machiavelli model, then as first step we must distance ourselves from current model and old habit by evaluating elected officials position with the new set of rules. Due to the fact that there are many complex issues facing the world then you might consider to team up with others who agree with this concept to volunteer for the research regarding different issues to find the truth and by brainstorming session to choose a position or direction that is closer to our ideal. In this decision making process we should avoid to make our decision based on who is stronger today in political establishment or prejudging candidates based on political party affiliations or pre assigned tag of left, center, right, liberal or conservative….

Independent of who has been elected for different positions in the free world, we the people and Activists must be vigilant and continue to pressure elected officials to move in the right direction for better future by any means of Media available to the freedom-loving Activists . The public struggle of better vision of future should not end with the election and we must continuously be vigilant, remember only the Truth, Honesty, and Integrity will survive the test of time and history …..
To safeguard freedom always remember James Madison famous statement: "If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary.”

In the name of Cyrus The Great the greatest leader of wisdom, virtue and liberator of all time throughout human history who the Iranians called him as The Father, the Babylonians as The Liberator, the Greeks as the Law-Giver, and the Jews as the Anointed of the Lord and his name appears twenty two times in the Bible. According to Prof. Richard Frye from Harvard University “surely the concept of One World, .... the fusion of peoples and cultures in one 'Oecumen' was one of their important legacies”. Liberated Babylon; freed over 42,000 Jews from captivity; rejected slavery, declared the first human rights charter; and ruled over those he had liberated with respect and benevolence over 2500 years ago. According to recent research finding by Iranian-American scholar Mr. Cyrus Kar the Cyropaedia of Xenophon book was the required reading for our American Revolutionary Founding Fathers. The drafting the Declaration of Independence and US Constitution was influenced by Cyrus The Great leadership and vision. For further detail regarding these facts please watch preview of documentary by Cyrus Kar from http://www.spentaproductions.com

With admiration and respect to our American Revolutionary Founding Fathers tradition who incorporated part of Cyrus vision and spirit in the The Constitution of the United States of America and in direction from James Madison:

"If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. As good citizen of this great free nation and following James Madison we have to watch all our elected high government officials, Journalists, writers, news media and scholars statements and when we see deviation from truth, Good Thoughts, Good Words, and Good Deeds then we need to communicate and increase public awareness for correct decision 2008 based on facts and good deeds.

Obama For Change team has taken the concept of change from ActivistChat idea which was developed from 2001 untill 2006 and posted in ActivistChat forum. It is surprising that Obama team has not referred to this site as originator of the idea for change and they have not provided substance or progressive policy for real change ….
Complex Inflection point for change first applied by one of Intel original founders and executive Dr. Andy Grove for new business model at Intel and activistchat community expanded on the idea by applying it to major social and political changes since 2001 …. If you read different ActivistChat posts regarding real change below then you will notice where Obama team got the idea from and how he is planning to deceive the public as possible leader for change without substance …

Memo to the president on talking with Iran: Don't confuse the regime with the people

By Dr. Assad Homayoun

U.S. President Barack Obama has taken the first steps towards implementing his Administration’s new policy towards the Middle East. He has also announced his intention to open a dialogue and “extend a hand” to the Government of the Islamic Republic of Iran providing they “unclench their fist”.

While there is no doubt that the President has some very able and seasoned advisors, it is important to bring to his attention the hopes and the aspirations of the silent Iranian nation which are different than those of the Government of the Islamic Republic. This is a cautionary note, lest the actions and promises end in double frustration for the U.S. and the Iranian nation.

..............................................
.........................................................

Today, we live in an era where there is a real world of new powers and non-state entities; and a virtual world of the Internet and the Blackberry. This new era requires a new approach.

.........................................
...................................................

It is obvious that President Obama is faced with an economic crisis of significant magnitude, as well as diverse international political and military challenges, one of which is the enigma of the Islamic Republic.

One final reminder: The Iranian youth, some 50-million strong, are disillusioned and suffering under an increasingly erratic and unpredictable leadership. Any short-term deal with the theocrats which further compromises their future would sear into the long-term memory of the Iranian people.

Today, we live in an era where there is a real world of new powers and non-state entities; and a virtual world of the Internet and the Blackberry. This new era requires a new approach.

If President Obama does not listen to the following request, we will not be surprised that the Obama Admin Iran's policy and plan will fail as President Bush Admin failed ... and the Iranian oppositions will reject any wrong policy openly .... as we did with President Bush Admin ...

Hope President Obama will not be fooled by few regime lobbyists in USA universities acting as opposition unless he has hidden agenda to be fooled. These traitors have no creditability among million Iranian-American community .....

Based on the Petition 52 below freedom-loving Iranian people had spoken clearly before and they had rejected any shameful private or public talk with Islamist Terrorist Occupiers and Invaders Of Iran by any country.

However FREE Iran Activists most probably will accept the following:
1) First prerequisite condition is all political prisoners must be released before any meeting ....
2) All executions must be stopped ....
3) Third prerequisite condition, the UN Human Rights Groups must be allowed complete access to all Iran’s prisons and torture centers with no restrictions … The UN must be able to have 24 * 7 Human Rights monitoring group in Iran….
4) TV Camera and Journalists from all major News Media must be present in the meeting room with regime.

Decision 2008 Priorities : U.S. Foreign and Energy Policy General Common Sense Expectations and Demands

We are the citizens of the United States of America who represent the majority of the American people who strongly adhere to the following beliefs:

1) We believe in the concept of complete secularism in government, which generally means complete separation of the State from religion, or any ideology or philosophy which can be interpreted as religious (e. g. Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islamism, Judaism, etc., or extreme ideologies such as Fascism or Communism). Secularism can be considered as common sense versus Ideology.

2) Democracy without secularism and secular parties cannot survive and continue a tradition of freedom of choice when a non-secular regime comes to power, as demonstrated by the Nazi party in Germany, the Khomeinist regime in Iran, and more recently by the Hamas Party in Palestine. This principle has been proven historically many times and in many countries.

3) When there is religious intervention in the affairs of the public and the State, then it become necessary to make public the fact that a religion or its precepts have influenced governmental institutions. It becomes a duty of citizens, in the interests of freedom, to work to remove that religious influence, and restore secular governance.

We believe that, in this century, real change starts with breakthroughs in less expensive and environmentally less-harmful energy sources such as hydrogen fuels, solar power, wind power, and geo-thermal energy, representing possibly safer alternatives to fossil fuels. The greatest changes for the better will be delivered by the world’s brilliant engineering minds, not politicians (Democrats or Republicans) who, for the past 40 years, have virtually ignored support for research in alternative sources of energy.

We recommend that support for qualified candidates for public office be based on past good deeds and public service, independent of political party affiliation or pre-assigned tags of left, center, right, liberal or conservative.

Our future expectations of policy makers and leaders with regard to foreign policy are defined by a new set of criteria based on test cases designed to be able to measure success and failure more objectively. Our recommended test cases and criteria are based on the vision of the founding fathers of the United States of America and those philosophies that informed them, including the works of Cyrus the Great, and Plato. We believe that this ancient and enduring spirit of freedom was embodied in the U.S. Constitution, and includes the following elements:

1- The implementation of a secular democracy
2- The implementation of enduring and inalienable Human/Women’s Rights
3- The implementation of a Free and Responsible Society
4- The promulgation of freedom and human rights at global level
5- The intent to gather moral and international support for the rejection of all religiously-based, gender-biased, racially-biased or apartheid, and ideologically extreme governments, realizing that these governments are a main source of creating fearful societies and terrorism in the world.

Independently of who is chosen for public office in the elections of 2008, we resolve to remain vigilant, and to continue to pressure elected officials to move in the aforementioned directions, to help assure a better future for all freedom-loving, secularist peoples. We will continue to make use of any communication media available to us in order to further this cause. The struggle toward a better future will not end with any one election, and we will always remember that only Truth, Honesty, and Integrity have survived, and will survive, the test of time and history.

Quick Overview of the Vision of Cyrus the Great:
Cyrus the Great, the father of first Human Rights declaration over 2500 years ago, advocated the abolition of slavery and ethnic or racial discrimination, freedom to choose one's place of residence, freedom of religious belief, and the establishment of peace among nations. Such ideas are still alive and are clearly esteemed by all those who believe in human dignity and human rights. The Persians regarded Cyrus The Great as The Father, the Babylonians regarded him as The Liberator, the Greeks called him the Law-Giver, and the Jews called him the Anointed of the Lord. Prof. Richard Frye of Harvard University is quoted as saying, “…Surely the concept of One World, and the fusion of peoples and cultures in one 'Oecumen', was one of [Cyrus the Great’s] important legacies”. Therefore, Cyrus the Great is considered to be one of the greatest political leaders and liberators of all time. October 29th has been designated as the international day of Cyrus the Great, king of Persia , who declared the first charter of human rights in the world, which is also known as the ‘Cyrus Cylinder’.

The Vision of the American Founding Fathers:
The founding fathers -- George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Hamilton, James Madison, John Adams -- are extraordinarily impressive revolutionary figures, with unique educational influences. Recent research by historians has found that Cyrus The Great’s Book by Xenophon, and ‘The Prince’ by Machiavelli, were required reading among the American Revolutionary Founding Fathers. Personal copies of these books owned by Founding Fathers exist in Library of Congress. The drafting of the Declaration of Independence and U.S. Constitution was, however, more influenced by Cyrus The Great’s leadership and vision than Machiavelli. Cyrus The Great’s leadership vision is based on the ideas of a free society, human rights, sound moral values and a high code of ethics, versus the Machiavellian vision based on a fearful society, with perhaps immoral and unethical means advocated in order to control society. The American Founding Fathers were not essentially Machiavellian, and that is why they were able to create a great foundation upon which to build a nation.

We should try to find an answer to the following question: How could the founding fathers have achieved so much in such a short period of time, while current generations seemingly cannot achieve nearly as much, although endowed with far superior technological power and knowledge?

To safeguard our freedoms, we always remember James Madison’s famous statement: "If men were angels, no government would be necessary. If angels were to govern men, neither external nor internal controls on government would be necessary. In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself [italics ours]. A dependence on the people is, no doubt, the primary control on the government; but experience has taught mankind the necessity of auxiliary precautions.” The Federalist No. 51 (James Madison).

As the Islamic Revolution completed its third decade, it would not be too difficult to realize the reality and the fruits of its mismanagement during its imperial and revolutionary eras. Throughout the three decades of its existence, the Islamic Republic has managed, notably, to produce more hunger, extreme frustration and anger, prostitution at a record pace, drug addiction beyond control, child execution without any regard to the international human rights bylaws. There are many reports regarding cases of child sexual abuse and molestation reaching epidemic proportions. Prosecution and imprisonment of the innocent people and systematic and illegal abuse of detainees and hundreds of gruesome acts have also been reported.

"...to the Iranian people, I say tonight: As you stand for your own liberty, America stands with you." — President Bush, in the State of the Union Address

For 8 years, President Bush promised the Iranian people that America would support them in their struggle for freedom, but did he? The Iranian people stood up firmly only to be hanged by the Islamic Republic executioners.
Can President Obama outdo President Bush’s rhetoric, or does he really believe in his motto “Change -- Yes We Can?”
It would be wise and expedient for the community of nations and the newly elected President of the United States to show solidarity with the Iranian people and to implement maximum pressure against the illegitimate body of government calling itself the Islamic Republic of Iran to listen to the will of its citizens. The Islamic Republic hijackers must be forced to bow to the will of the Iranian people or there must be some sort of consequences.

There must not be, however, any compromise, any negotiation or any deals with the Islamists in Iran before making sure that the Iranian people are part of the equation. The era of mass politics, propaganda, nebulous sloganeering and magical solutions are over. It’s a do or die scenario for the Iranian people or perhaps for the people of the world. The Iranian people want nothing less than a complete regime change through the democratic process of a free referendum. We believe it is the surest, safest and the fastest way to achieve a democratic Iran and end the world’s nightmare of nuclear holocaust that is currently facing us all.
