Pls. refer to VOA Saturday interview with Rudi Bakhtiar of Fox News

www.voanews.com

Click: Farsi, click: T.V. ( Saturday Roundtable Program with Bijan Farhoudi).

Ms. Rudabeh Bakhtiar of Fox News (with number of viewers double that of CNN, according
to her). was describing the events of her recent 10 day trip to Iran, after being away for
20 years.

Ms. Bakhtiar was visibly biased in expressing opinions about the political inclinations of Iranians
inside the country. She claimed Ahmadinejad had a lot of following. She claimed that she spoke
to 40 students at the university and they all backed Khatami and said the opposition outside
Iran didn't mean anything to them (baray ma noon-o-ab nemisheh). She even made a point of
including Shahzadeh's name to show that he had no support in Iran.

Ms. Bakhtiar said Islam and religion were very important issues for the people in Iran and they
didn't care for Ms. Ebadi much (whom she greatly praised as a source of pride) because she does not wear the hejab when she travels overseas!

Ms. Bakhtiar mentioned that her team wished to meet with the government officials back in Iran, however their wishes were not granted this time around but were told they should keep their
fingers crossed for the other times to come! No wonder Ms. Bakhtiar chose to portray to the
world (both through her live broadcasts from Iran through Fox News and her interview
with VOA/Farsi), that people in Iran were either backing Ahmadinejad because they had a
blind faith in him, or if they happened to be more enlightened they backed Khatami! Fundamentalists or reformists, nothing else!

Ms. Bakhtiar seems to have made sure to receive many more entry visas to visit Iran and to
get lucky and interview the government officials on her next visits. It is unfortunate to have another Christian Amanpour on our hands who chooses to use the powerful media tools to
mislead millions of viewers with half-truths about the situation in Iran. To claim that 40
university students or a crowd of people at the Friday Prayers speak for the 70 million
population of Iran who barely exist under the brutal rule of the Islamic Republic is absurd
indeed.

You can protest Ms. Rudi Bakhtiar's comments by sending emails or calling Fox News or
Voice of America/Farsi. Ms. Bakhtiar's own email address is as follows:

Rudi.Bakhtiar@foxnews.com

Please also send email to Fox News administration and tell them it is a shame that Ms Rudabi Bakhtiyar is allowed to work there and spread propaganda. SHAME

Ba dorood:

I obviously disagree with her however can see WHY she would be saying what she is saying!!

She is limited to what she can do when she goes to Iran. This is the case with all journalists.

Short of making it a hidden camera which takes some planning and effort, she can not do anything else.

Did you know that Islamic Rip-off's Heraasat agents are all over Washington DC?!

Yeap, CIA is aware of them too but tries to monitor them rather than kick them out. The view is that we can see what they are up to.
