Dear Bahram,

The Brits never wanted a strong Government in Iran.
They knew with a strong government their Oil looting will be in jeopardy.
And we witnessed that they were right!?
According to the Brits, Pahlavis stole their OIL no matter if the wells were not in their territory? It was theirs ant way.
They can never forgive Pahlavis for cutting their usurping hands from our OIL.
There is no other apparent reason or justification for their antagonism towards Pahlavis.

Regards,
Hashem

Subject: A British journalist speaks again!!

Interesting article! http://www.guardian.co.uk/comment/story/0,3604,1590719,00.html

I can't help it when individuals like this British journalist have the audacity to make such comments, but to believe that Iranians as a nation and those who call themselves activists or even the those who pretend to support the Pahlavi monarchy, must be suffering from a disease, which has resulted in their total state of apathy and lethargy.

Mr. Woollacott has not even taken the trouble of doing a little bit - not much - just a little bit of research before putting an article together. According to him - which I'm sure the Guardian is very proud of its informed employee - the Persepolis celebrations in 1971 was the late Shah's coronation!!!

How can anyone expect anything from the public when British journalists cannot even get the smallest facts right!

I have to admit the British anti- Pahlavi sentiments is absolutely perplexing. This must be the only continuous foreign policy that this country has uninterruptedly continued since 1926. Why, is a very good question and its answer simply is beyond me.

Bahram

“... Yes, but what kind of a precedence would that be? In order to make U.N. to dance to their tunes, then terrorism should prevail in the world.” H.I.M. Mohammad Reza Pahlavi - interview with Sir David Frost,1980.
