Iranian Zoroastrian Graveyard turned into Racing Track
Oct 5, 2004, 13:05
A 400-year-old Zoroastrian burial place where people used to entomb their dead as late as 4 years ago has been turned into a cyclists' race track in the central province of Yazd.
Every day over 50 young Yazdis play and race in the site, entertaining hundreds of avid spectators. "Since the site used to function as a sacred burial place for Zoroastrians and it houses hundreds of thousands of our dead, we deem turning it into a cyclists' racing track is sacrilegious," said Jamshid Kiomarsi, Zoroastrian anthropologist.
The graveyard was registered as a national heritage site six years ago and Iranian law stipulates that all privileged sites must be protected from any damage.

Khaak to sare een mardom who sit and basically APPROVE of these anti-Iranian actions! The majority of Iranians have become lazy ass bastards who care only about their immiediate families! Where is our national pride! The VIRUS has to be eliminated or soon there will be no Iran for us to talk about! People don't you see what they are slowly doing! Do you care!? Do you care if you're sub-contiously becoming TAZI's! because how can a TRUE Iranian sit and approve of the horrific actions perpetraited by this TAZI-government! This is freakin incredible! _________________ JAVID IRAN!

This is truly disgusting. On top of destroying Bahia holy sites recently, and plans to flood the Psargad valley ... the Mullah$ are on a roll to destroy much of the Iranian cultural heritage, with a delibaerate targetting of the sacred!
Shame on the EU for Sponsoring the Destruction of Religious and Cultural landmarks in Iran through their continued greedy Neo Colonialist Support of the Murderous Mullah$! |
