Sporadic and brutal clashes in most Iranian cities
SMCCDI (Information Service)
Jul 8, 2004

The brutal intervention of the regime's official and plainclothes agents has lead, tonight, to the arrests and injuries of tens of protesters in most main Iranian cities. In Tehran alone, the clashes are wide spread and are happening in Amir Abad, Tajrish, Zarabkhane, Kargar, Guisha, Kargar, Sadeghie, Narmak, Noor, vali e Asr and Enghelab area.

Other clashes have happened, so far, in Esfahan, Shiraz and Mashad were those having defied once again the Islamic State are shouting slogans for a democratic regime change in Iran.

Many have been injured or arrested and transferred by full buses to the regime's detention centers,

The presence of the regime's foreign mercenaries and their brutality is easily noticeable. The regime seems to try to isolate the demonstrators in each area and to avoid a bigger ralliement by more demonstrators who are trying to use the darkness of the night.

Many homes have shut off their lights and people are shouting slogans on their flat roofs.

A friend told me that he was at the University of Tehran yesterday and many people, including himself clashed with Basijis and were beaten..

Plus, many students were arrested

Stefania - our compatriot, 9karevatan, is in Iran - as I have queried his IP address. Of course I will not post his IP address to you or anyone else since it is a matter of security, but I'm simply telling you that this is the case, he his in Tehran.

Secondly, there is no doubt in 9karevatan's integrity, and if I were you I would spend more time listening to what he has to say - and less time questioning him as to whether he is in Iran or not. What is the use?

Iranian freedom will come - and the regime will fall, but it will happen when the circumstances are correct. Iranians are very brave people - but they are not stupid, and after years of getting beaten down, arrested, tortured - they have merely become smarter, not weaker or timid.

You have to read this the right way!

Yes, you're right Kian.

But then Spenta's reports are all false?

You see, i wish that something really big happen in Iran . I wish that millions take to the streets.

It saddens me so much to know that this year the regime has won over the people of Iran !

stefania the regime did not win over anything....they only made things worse for themselves...we are the real victors....they proved to everyone that they need to have soo many guards and security all over the streets ...and all of this has now become a usual thing so it shows how scared they are and they are forced to make tehran look like a war zone all the time....
